1. Each State Party involved in the transfer of conventional arms covered under Article 2 (1) shall take measures to prevent their diversion.

Trust the UN
Trust the UN

This treaty would only be enforced in the US by our courts. Do you really think US judges will also be a part of some conspiracy to overthrow the entire Constitution?

No but they will have to follow the law.

And the law would only be the words of the treaty. So, since your claims have nothing to do with the actual wording of the treaty, you have nothing to actually be concerned with.

Each State Party shall establish and maintain a national control system, including a national control list, in order to implement the provisions of this Treaty.

National firearms registry.

The treaty is explicit that the control systems deal with weapon exporters only. I already posted all the treaty has to ay about "control system".

Do you not read english? That says that each government that sells weapons must make sure they actually go where they say they are going.

"Each State Party" (IOW a government that ratified this treaty ) "involved in the transfer" (i.e. they sold or are transporting) "of conventional arms covered under Article 2 (1)" (the various sorts of weapons this treaty covers) "shall take measures to prevent their diversion." (IOW make sure they actually get delivered to who you sold them to)

Absolutely nothing to do with private gun ownership inside any country unless you are a black market gun runner who steals weapons from the Army.

I didn't say no treaty but I have concerns about this one. Problem is that the nations that wnat to get weapons in the wrong hands will sign any treaty and simply ignore it. One way would be to enforce embargos, that would be far more effective. We have seenone embargo after another ignored without penalty.

I'd imagine that States that violate the Treaty and refuse to desist, will be subject to arms embargoes and other measures. A model for enforcement procedures might be the manner in which the Non-Proliferation Treaty is enforced. It is normal practice for the operation and success (and/or failings) of such agreements to monitored and the appropriate remedies put in place where necessary.

I'm glad that you have indicated your approval of the Treaty in principle. The concerns you have listed thus far have been shown to be groundless. So I am unable to see why you can't give the Treaty your support, if only on the basis that the Treaty is the first step down a long road
