I will also chiime in with the "my only regret is that I couldn't do it sooner" crowd. Depending on the doctor he may not actually remove her nipples, he can cut around the areola and move them up still attached to the tissue she is keeping. Sensativity loss seems to average around thw 40% range when it's done that way. My nipples are still over sensative, but they are getting better and I am able to tolerate more and more. My surgery was last August, so I am not quite at my year out mark yet. Also, regarding breastfeeding and kids etc...depending on how she feels and if she has kids already or not, she may want to wait until after she is done being pregnant. Not because of the breastfeeding issue, though that is part of it to consider, she might end up restretching her breasts out during pregnancy and actually ruin the surgery. Plus the scar that runs from the nipple straight down to the underside of the breast WILL widen as her breasts grow to accomodate the milk she will be making and scar tissue no longer has the elasticity that regular skin does so it will not go back into shape after she loses her milk. So, that's something to really consider heavily regarding the timing of her reduction. If she waits until after kids, I would advise she wait at least a year after having kids and finishing breastfeeding with her last kid to have the reduction. Again, I am glad I had mine. I am also glad I waited till I was done having kids. I wish I could have affored it sooner after I was done breastfeeding my last one...but all told, it really wasn't that long. Good luck! Luci
