ORIGINAL: MstSebastian And how many gun deaths a year are caused by people who legally owned the gun in question? Many thousands Subject to correction, I don't think MstSebastian was talking about suicides. Do you have any actual data on the number of homicides committed by people who legally owned the firearm in question? Question was asked and the correct answer was given. That you don't like that answer is immaterial. It's not a question of whether I like it or not, or whether you like it or not. It's a quesiton of whether or not it's right. And until you post the source for your data, if you even have one, you're just making an empty claim and stamping your feet. How many people legally owned the gun they used to commit suicide? How many took advantage of their knowledge of where a family member or friend kept a gun in order to obtain the weapon? How many used an illegally obtained gun? And while we're at it, what exactly is the problem? Why do anti-gun nuts keep trotting this out with righteous weeping and gnashing of teeth? Don't people have a right to end their lives if they want to? Is it anybody's fucking business? I know religious conservatives think it's a "sin," but what's your excuse? On the one hand people argue that someone who wants to die should have the right to do so, while on the other hand they can't seem to stand the idea of anybody having a private, fast, and easy way to do it. I mean seriously, do you have to have your nose in everything? K.
