Yes and he was HOT. lol first and last role I ever saw him in that I liked his look and found his... self agrandizement appealing. Perhaps it was because in that role the man clearly had lived.

I think it depends on the man's face and how well he keeps it. I don;t mind one that is nicely kept, though my favorite kind of "whiskers" are the Gregory House "I didn't shave last week" look. If Hugh Laurie was a Dominant I would be sleeping at the foot of his bed every night hoping for a spanking. Totally off topic, but Politesub reminds me of the teacher on those University of Farmers commercials :)

A well groomed beard makes a fellow look distinguished... thinking Sebastian Cabot or Sean Connery (in the Indiana Jones Movies) Now a badly groomed beard makes you look like an aficionado of cheap wine and cheaper drugs.. Willy Nelson. I wore a beard in my 20s to look older as I was supervising people 10+ years older than me. Hmm, I may grown one back once I'm done with this contract job and see how much grey I have now.

quite right Level. One of my sisters dated and married a man who looked a LOT like Willie.. but sans the talent or cash. In fact all 5 of her ex's were of a similar lok except for that one only other man I met who had a nice beard.

Sure. And there are women that love the scruffy biker look, or the heavy metal dude look, or the body art types. Be yourself, it'll make it easier to avoid mismatches, and to find someone compatible.
