Whenever Shawn Hannity was going on about Obama being a friend of Bill Ayers (who was one of the leaders of the Weathermen, a gang that planted bombs, including a police station) Libs downplayed it as if the Weathermen bombings were just harmless pranks. Now with this bombing putting our values in perspective, still think Ayers should be holding a job as a professor at a University? And probably has been invited to the White House. If we catch this recent bomber, would you want to reward him with a nice professorship, and the friendship of a President?

Modern translations do tend to be more accurate, whereas KJV started out inaccurate. We still don't have good sources for everything, though, and even an accurate translation needs context if you're trying to get details (not that the details are usually all that necessary to get the gist of it). Not that I get how this is really relevant to establishing that NT times were more violent than modernity, or that OT times were more violent than NT times, or that there's a strong indication in the evolution of the text that the intention is for there to be progress over time in a direction that has remained remarkably consistent since the beginning. This, of course, is to be expected: when you're visionary, there will always be things your contemporaries won't be ready to accept, and won't even understand what you mean by. IWYW, — Aswad.

He was a John Bircher and of course John Birchers bombed and assassinated. Ayers was ousted from the weathermen since he wouldnt support bombing campaigns. He also was never tried or even considered to be tried for bombing, but he did pay a fine I believe for being a draft evader, do you think a draft EVADER like W should have been elected by the Neo-Cons? Ayers is long retired by the way, this is at least the 90's today so try to get with it, and find a fact or two.

One of the founders spun the NA off from the Society as I recall. I can't think of any bombings linked directly to the JBS itself... You are putting it out as one of the reasons the KJV isn't accurate is because modern translations don't have the patronage. Yet, it's the patronage that you claiming helped make it inaccurate? Seems to me that those KJV re-writes without the KJ bias should be more accurate.
