I am not my greatest fan. It may be I am not being fair with myself. You don't get a lot of positive feed back from a triple murderer, wife and child abuser, rapist, thief, shotgun robber alcoholic ex-con father and the woman who will put up with him. On the other hand...

Perhaps you could tell me.

How does it affect my life? Well, there is Tammi, Lori, Angela, Selene, Mary, Cindy and that Gal I never asked for a name who walked away from her friends with me after I saved her friend Kareen from drowning in the Montlake Cut. All of them wanted to know me. All of them were beautiful ladies with manners and class. I didn't let any of them get close. Because, you see, I don't deserve them. To put that another way, they deserve better.

I love that link. Women are very hard on themselves; their worst critics. I am sure men are as well, but I don't hear it from them as much.

It is very telling that the women describing themselves as much less attractive than others perceive them.

Of course, you can have the opposite effect, of someone who overestimates their looks, but that is preferable to self-deprecation.

I know I am very critical of myself and on my worst days, people always seem to tell me how great I look, even without makeup!!
