Okay....so I've deciphered, absorbed and retained everything you all have taught me (thank you, by the way....excellent stuff)....put shit away (me too...more important that I do so I can later pound on him viciously for having not done so "FAIL!!!!! Go to your ROOM!!!!!"...I like that a lot)....don't chastise (what....like more than 5 times a day? Is there an actual number?).

Don't tell him, let him ask. Be a friend ("he's not 8") but be a Dad too (remember section on "listening"), see what he wants, let him tell you (he will eventually). Don't lead the question...he'll get there eventually.

Makes a lot of sense.

Okay....truly that makes a ton of sense...excellent advice.

So, distilled, in its purest form....which I think I have the mind for.....while it doesn't "all come down to this"....I think, from all your advice, I can safely say, jacking off to that hot chic on MSNBC at 3:00 in the morning in the living room on the 55 inch, with the cat watching.....that can't be done anymore.....right?

I been meaning to talk to you about that...

The kitchen and the bath could each use a good going over.

I know. I know. But I'm just talking about ONCE.

No one has mentioned this, but it occurred to me reading this thread:
There is a Lookie Junior.

I've done all I can (and frankly, I'm quite proud of my recent accomplishments as to housecleaning) but....the girl is coming in tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. to pick up the finer points :)

Sidearms....good...I am prepared.

Gawd help us all :)

Well, actually, this could be the turning point in the whole Earth thingie but...

(There's another poignant question...do you think...as he's so much like me in all other things...he's like me in this? {brilliant, sexy, handsome...all that kind of stuff})?

Of course, I'm never going to divulge but....what if...over the next several years (certainly not over the next few) he asks me, in some innocuous way about....what do I say?

Lookie, I met my biological father and biological mother (separately, they weren't married) when I was 31. My biomom was happy to see me, very open, but also kind of let ME lead the progression. There was no Lifetime movie moment, but we enjoyed each other's company and have grown closer as time passes. She's there if I want to talk and I try to keep in touch. It's a great relationship, even though I do not call her Mom (cause being adopted, I already had a mom).

My biodad immediately started trying to give me advice and convert me to his religion. We don't talk anymore lol

You'll do great - who could NOT love you? :)

Well...the whole "who could not" is fairly obvious (no one :) ) but, you (kind of indicated) that someone kind of spilled...? No?...did you find out?

I'm wondering...is he like me? He is like me...that's clear but....is he....like me?

I'm guessing it's the "he'll ask you" thing but....a boy isn't going to ask his father (another male...sue me...the whole male thing is indeed different....).

Is there ever a time?

(I know when that time occurs....I'M not supposed to bring it up!

My story is that my biomom met my biodad when he was taking summer seminar at a college where she attended....and she didn't know he was married. She realized she was pregnant after he left. Since her parents were uber strict missionaries she hid the pregnancy until she couldn't then tracked him down to live with him until I was born (by then he was on his next affair). I asked, they told me each their version of events, which were pretty consistent.

There are no rules for this stuff...you learn as you go. FWIW, though there were awkward moments and some painful moments, I am not one bit sorry I met them, and I have love for both of them.
