Master and I were just talking today about a vacation. We both feel we need one soon since we've both been so busy with work and school and what not.

I'm thinking I might see if I can set something up for Memorial Day since it's really the only time we both have off. I'm kinda hoping the beach is warmed up by then but I'm highly doubtful. Maybe a cabin and hiking or something like that if the beach is out.

i like the adio books as i can listen while driving or doing chores and cooking it helps me not tofocus on bad things also take a moment and see how you breath if you breath with your chest you will be more stressed if you use your diaphram to breath you will be more relaxed. when you do diphragmatic breathing it tells your para-sympathetic nervous system that it is safe and calm chest breathing tells the sympathetic nervous system that there is danger and increases the anxiety level. so when you are feeling stressed do 10 slow belly breaths and you will find the stress goes down

for stress; i like listening to binaural beats, isochronic tones and hypnosis videos from youtube. sometimes i read; when my attention span is there. cutting down on porn (not anti porn - it is something that i look at that i cannot have), learning to be content while alone being a hermit. not pressuring myself to do more than i am currently capable of doing. one day at a time; if i get a clue; might make a surge in income but social security each month is good enough for survival and some minor wants; just it makes it impossible to attract a mate; which is okay by me; just means more money for me; which definitely helps with stress.

Print out picture of boss's face
Attach to the pell in the back yard
Grab broadsword
Have a grand old stress reduction aerobic workout.

Cleaning the house is so therapeutic for me. I feel so good when the house is spotless. Beside that I used go for a run a lot , swim couple of a week and do Yoga . Since I moved here I can't do much since I don't know the roads ( I don't have a car either). So cleaning after my very messy Dom lol and doing Yoga are my only options

After checking out your profile, I am afraid my technique would not work.

When I get stressed I go out to the shooting range and burn through a few hundred rounds.

Oooh. I like doing that too!! Especially when it's ammo you've reloaded yourself, but that could just be the novelty for me. I'm still trying to find the time to get my license, so I can only go when my friend brings me along. Oh, and live alone, or with people I would trust around guns. So, not until after I move.

Btw, this is an almost necro thread (3 months to the day between posts) that I linked in a different thread. If people want to continue to post, fine. But I got what I was looking for back when I started the thread. Lots of good ideas in here though.

FR~

What's stress??? [:D]

I don't see it, don't do it, refuse to bow to it.
I do things when I'm ready and not before.

Even in a recent tribunal hearing in a court they asked me what time I get up in the mornings.
I told them straight - I don't do mornings, that's why the hearing is in the afternoon!

Nothing in this house runs on a timetable.
I fall out of bed when I'm good and ready - whatever time that is.
Breakfast is somewhere after I've had my coffee when I feel like it.
Lunch/dinner is when I'm hungry.
I go to sleep when I'm tired. I don't care what the clock says.
I won't answer the phone or answer the door if I'm in bed either.
We have 24/7 shopping so I go when I feel like it. I'm not tied to 9-5.

My life isn't run to the clock, sun, moon, day or night or anyone else.
Fuck the world - it can wait for me for a change!!

Stress??? What is that??
Got none of that here. [8D]

I listen to stuff like this sometimes when I get home: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYJ6LT0k9RE

After a few tracks like this and a cuppa, am normally slowing down bit and de-stressing

Hope you're feeling ok :-)

ORIGINAL: lovethyself

I've made some changes in my life recently, and while I'm happy overall with where I am, I'm finding that my tolerance level for stress and frustration is much lower than it used to be. One of the things I've changed is my drinking. So, instead of coming home from work and relaxing with a drink, I've added to my stress by having to resist the temptation. I'm looking for alternative ways of letting off steam, or relaxing.

So, what do you do to unwind? Is there a certain activity that you finds helps when you find yourself overwhelmed with the little things? Do you have a way of finding your balance when things throw you off?

I used to masturbate at the check out counter by the front door at Denny's and occasional KFC's....but....the pay off proved somewhat costly.
