Status: offline 		Just curious ... this is to the people with some experience in this. If i'm not really into the whole pain and humiliating thing. Are there master's who aren't so intense or is this site not cut out for me.

Status: offline 		These are different concepts. There are differences between dominance and sadism and topping & submission, masochism and bottoming.

Sadist - likes giving pain
Masochist - likes feeling pain
Top - the one who is "doing" the actions
Bottom - the one who is "receiving" the actions
Dominant - one who likes being in control
Submissive - one who likes being controlled

Any of these "labels" can be used to describe an intense experience.

If you are looking for kinky sex, then the vanilla sites are great for that. Or, just use the "hook up" sites. Others are also seeking kink and sex.

If you are curious about "lifestyle" relationships, then it's time to do a LOT of reading. It's useful to have a BDSM glossary open while you read because there really is a different language here. Terms that you already know may have different/multiple meanings in the lifestyle.

I'm telling you this because if you don't acquire the vocabulary, then you will be misunderstood and you will misunderstand others. It's not very easy to ask questions on a BDSM site thread until you have read about the basics. I suggest you begin here:

Status: offline 		There are even some forms of service that have nothing to do with sex or sensation play. Some people are into high protocol, which is following numerous formal rules, for example. The entire field of Gorean is basically protocols, which may or may not include play.

And yes, there are people who are not interested in pain or humiliation. My Master is one of them, and I am the same, which makes us compatible. There are tons and tons of people out there interested in all sorts of things--there is bound to be someone into the same things, the same way you are. Good luck!

OP...the beauty of WIITWD (what it is that we do) is that there is something for EVERYONE here. Its a spectrum and we all fit in somewhere along that line. All you do is find your counterpart who falls in the same general area as you and shares your view. You will fit in just fine. I promise. Good luck in your search
