Imagine if Democrats were in power, President Obama, leading the charge into Iraq over 'Massive Stockpiles of Weapons of Mass Destruction'. And after all the killing, maiming, death, destruction, and loads of stealing going on; we find Iraq really didn't have any where in the neighborhood of what the administration accused it. Who here would be dumb or ignorant enough to think the Republicans WOULDN'T attack the administration 10,000 times as mighty as they are now with Benghazi?
How many Republicans held their own party to the full accounting and responsibility with the abuse of power that the Bush administration go away with? The OP is correct in this instance with the article. If your going to slam another political party over one event that took place, its fair to ask if they hold THEIR OWN PARTY TO TWICE THE LEVEL OF ACCOUNTING AND RESPONSIBILITY. If they don't, its simply doing the actions for political points.....NOT.....to right the wrongs or find the truth of the events that took place.
That is why many Americans already see this for what it is; its simply history repeating itself. Republicans are looking for.....ANYTHING....to impeach President Obama. Regardless of how silly, stupid, or completely 'right wing lunatic-ish' it comes across. They....KNOW....that if Hillary Clinton runs in 2016, that not one among them would stand an even or better odds for the White House. So, this is a smear campaign. But not to entice Americans to the 'GOP side', but to keep their already 'lowest information voters' whom vote for them fanatically from ever listening to facts. Or allow them to.......think for themselves......on the issue.
Four people died in Benghazi. All of them were well trained. They knew going in what the job was and how dangerous events could become. They knew full well they could die in any number of thousands of ways. And took precautions to the best of their abilities. Mourn for the four dead Americans. They are a precious lost to us. But don't try pushing time, energy and most of all, taxpayer dollars, on hearing after hearing looking for something.....ANYTHING....to pin on Democrats. Last I checked, 20 1st graders and 6 adults also lost their lives in....The United States of America....just a few months ago. Violence was the furthest thing from the teacher's minds, let alone the children's. Yet Republicans pushed that whole event under the rug as fast as they could....if only to please their Gun Industry masters.
Anyone whom has A) a brain, B) a will, and C) a education; knows this whole Benghazi thing is a silly waste of time, energy and taxpayer money. Aren't the conservatives on this and other boards......CONSTANTLY.....bashing Democrats and the President for wasting taxpayer money? Yet when their own party, the one that they VOTE in favor of, does this silly stuff over and over......where is the accountability and responsibility of power?
Why is this Benghazi thing an issue to the GOP? Because the GOP doesn't have a leg to stand on with....ANY OTHER ISSUE. When was the last time the GOP actually did something for the 99% of US Citizens that DIDN'T benefit the top 1% even more? I have to go back to the 1980's to find the last example....
