Can hard and frequent breast play cause a lump under the skin? There was serious bruising which I loved being able to look at and remember my hubby/Dom causing it for a good week and now i noticed a lump in that area. It is right below the vein that runs along the top of my breast. There is NO history of breast cancer in my family and NO history of lumps found. Just looking to see if anyone else has ever had this happen and if surface bruising can cause a lump under it. Granted if it's gone in a couple of days I will know but peace of mind now is appreciated to.

I'm going to head everyone else off at the pass:

Go see a doctor. We can't diagnose this based on a few words.

Really.

Coming to a message board about medical advice is just dumb.

absolutchocolat -> RE: Hard Breast Play Cause Lump? (5/15/2013 10:22:12 PM)

A mammogram is really the best thing to get in this instance. Self-diagnosis when it comes to health issues that could be life threatening is not wise.

geez people. she asked if anyone ever had it happen to them, not for you to diagnose it for her. I agree she should go to see a doc right away.

DommeArya -> RE: Hard Breast Play Cause Lump? (5/15/2013 11:43:24 PM)

I actually had this happen to me about 8 months ago. I was freaked out and found a quarter size lump on my left breast. I broke down and called mommy, who is a retired doctor and she looked at it. She concluded that it was a bit too smooth and perfect to be a scary lump (I guess the bad ones aren't as perfectly shaped and can be squishy?) Then I did a bit of online research and found that a serious bite/contusion can leave a lump like mass because the inner tissue is severely damaged. In time it went away, and I had a complete work up about 2 months ago due to an unrelated surgical procedure and everything was fine. If you're ever scared, absolutely go to a doctor, but the short answer to your question is yes, it can absolutely happen.

Hey subwifeslave
I've never been into serious impact play, especially anywhere that a hematoma might create problems.
The lump in that area should be looked at by a healthcare professional immediately. You can explain to the healthcare person, the sequence of events that occurred just prior to this, and he/she can assess you, do some tests, than determine if it's perhaps a blood clot left behind from the impact play rupturing some vasculature in the area, which usually gets reabsorbed by the body without incident, or something more serious than that.

Welcome to the boards, and good luck.
M

There was a poster here who had a hematoma as a result of heavy impact play.
But Her hematoma was near some cancer cells.

Get it checked out.

edit to add: the poster recovered well from her cancer.

I have lumps in my thighs from running into proturbences at work, at the same level, over and over again. With me, it's fatty necrosis, and benign.

However.................... read above.

ChatteParfaitt -> RE: Hard Breast Play Cause Lump? (5/16/2013 4:00:46 AM)

I agree with the 'get it checked out' advice.

Having said that, I bruise easily (which can be a bonus [:)] if you like to admire your bruises). I have had lumps caused by more severe tissue damage. Hot compresses help as does the essential oil of geranium, applied neat to the skin. (Please note, geranium is one of the few essential oils you can apply without dilution, so don't try this with some other EO).

Breasts, like balls, serve other functions than being nice bouncy or dangly bits to punish, so your dominant needs to use more care when focusing in on your breast (JMMO, YMMV).

Just like any area of the body, if damage is done, its very likely along with bruising there will be some swelling, an inflammatory response, and it would be natural for a lump to form. Repeated damage, or an area which may have something further going on, may be more sensitive, and needs to be looked at to be on the safe side.

"Can hard and frequent breast play cause a lump under the skin?"
I have never heard of it as an actual lump, more like disc or oval shape. A flat patch just under the skin. However, it is something that builds up slowly and from what you describe, this seems like your lump developed more quickly. That can be a myriad of things from a muscle tear to the impact inflaming a gland.

Repeated heavy impact in the same area may (and probably will) cause scar tissue build up that feels like a patch of leather under your skin. Commonly this happens to someone's ass from hard spankings. Often accompanied by nerve damage deadening your sensation level. That is why it is called by the nick name "leather ass". It is not uncommon.

Whatever the case, seems like a doctor's exam is in order. Best wishes and hope nothing is damaged.

From Wikipedia:

Physical trauma resulting in cancer is relatively rare.[34] Claims that breaking bone resulted in bone cancer, for example, have never been proven.[34] Similarly, physical trauma is not accepted as a cause for cervical cancer, breast cancer, or brain cancer.[34]

One accepted source is frequent, long-term application of hot objects to the body. It is possible that repeated burns on the same part of the body, such as those produced by kanger and kairo heaters (charcoal hand warmers), may produce skin cancer, especially if carcinogenic chemicals are also present.[34] Frequently drinking scalding hot tea may produce esophageal cancer.[34]

Generally, it is believed that the cancer arises, or a pre-existing cancer is encouraged, during the process of repairing the trauma, rather than the cancer being caused directly by the trauma.[34] However, repeated injuries to the same tissues might promote excessive cell proliferation, which could then increase the odds of a cancerous mutation. There is no evidence that inflammation itself causes cancer.[34]

LafayetteLady -> RE: Hard Breast Play Cause Lump? (5/16/2013 1:18:49 PM)

There is also the fact that some women will get small cysts that come and go with their menstrual cycle. Either way, good on your for having the sense to make the appointment.

Glad you're going! Thanks for the update, maybe after the appt you can let us know what happened and what was wrong. Would be a nice followup to the thread [:)]

littlewonder -> RE: Hard Breast Play Cause Lump? (5/16/2013 3:55:28 PM)

Most likely it's a hematoma. Sometimes after bruising it can cause a lump called a hematoma. Eventually it just disappears. I've had these after surgeries and after hard play.

But if you're really worried about it, go see a doctor.
