The first answer was correct.. hope you were smart enough to take that advice.

Yes it can, it's called fat necrosis. I was once beaten hard on the breasts by a Dom, it bruised very deeply and took a long time to clear up, and even when it did, there was hard lumpy tissue inside the breast that made them sore to touch.

Fat necrosis is where some of the breast tissue dies and is surrounded by fat or fluid to protect the injury while it heals or reabsorbs into the body. In my case it took about 2 - 3 months to heal completely, and now it is fine.

Obviously, if you discover a slow growing lump, head to the doctor, but if your breast changes very quickly, over the course of a day or few days, it's extremely unlikely to be breast cancer and is almost certainly related to impact play in the area.

The body will heal itself, but you must avoid impact play while it does so, and you should try to play a little more gently in the future. Think stingy rather than thuddy.

OR she could just accept that she likes impact play (If she does) and just accept that this happens but it heals so it's really no big deal at all.

She *could* do, you're right. But in my experience it was painful, disfiguring and scary. I'm presuming some of the same emotions crossed the poster's mind to cause her to ask this question.

Also, the initial lump was reasonably small but I, foolishly, did impact play on it again and it got much bigger, much more painful and then took months to heal, during which time I couldn't stand even the slightest pressure or touching on the area, let alone more impact play. To cut a long story short, I very much doubt anyone would choose to 'accept that this happens' and that it's 'really no big deal' but obviously, she may decide otherwise and that's cool too :-)

Considering she has a brain tumor, perhaps she should concentrate on that.

Oh believe me, I accept it all the time and yeah, it's no big deal. Master likes when it hurts like that on me and I really don't mind. It heals. No big deal. Disfiguring? So you have a bump. Again, it heals.

ETA: I didn't know anything about the brain tumor. If that's true, then yeah, I'd be more concerned about the brain tumor than a little bump from playing.

Cancer is a product of a local DNA change in cells; it's about damaged DNA that derails the normal cell life and death cycle. I would assume physical impact does NOT change DNA in affected cells. But it's important for kinksters to know if it actually can. Especially in areas deprived of normal blood flow for extended periods.

LafayetteLady -> RE: Hard Breast Play Cause Lump? (6/4/2013 9:43:55 PM)

Yep, has a brain tumor, yet seems more concerned about impact play to her breasts. Mind-boggling.

While I do understand what you are saying about such impact/pain/bondage play can result in a lump, I think it is important for someone who has never had such a lump to see a doctor to confirm that is all it is, and follow up with yearlies after that to be on the safe side. I know you realize that the thing with breast cancer is early detection being the best for treatment.

littlewonder -> RE: Hard Breast Play Cause Lump? (6/5/2013 7:47:20 PM)

Being she has a brain tumor, she would be seeing a doctor pretty often I would think. So while she's there wouldn't she just have to say "Btw, I felt a lump in my breast. Could you check this out just to make sure my cancer isn't spreading?". I would think the doctor would want to know about any other lumps asap. Seems like someone who isn't all that concerned about their cancer.

Right!!!! Wow personally I would be running to the doctor if I already had cancer and found a lump not stepping in a message board trying to blame impact play.

LafayetteLady -> RE: Hard Breast Play Cause Lump? (6/5/2013 9:31:09 PM)

lw, and Mm (wow, did you know the initials for your name would spell that?)

I agree. I would be running there as well, or at the least asking during my next visit just to be sure.

Something doesn't add up here.
