ORIGINAL: outlier I ran across this on CBS: handbags-may-have-more-bacteria-than-a-toilet-seat/ Before I posted it here I checked it out and it turns out to be a story that first hit snopes in 2006. They rate it as TRUE I posted here because I doubt most people think about this and both sources include some easy sensible precautions that can be taken. Yeah...but my purse ain't gonna have E-coli, the clap, all kinds of yeasts, and other people's body fluids. (Most people in this area will see pee on a seat, wipe it off, put toilet paper over the seat and sit down, then flush the papers down...and the next person will just sit down, unaware that someone had peed on it, lol.) My own toilet? I bleach that sucker all the time and keep some Lysol wipes nearby. Now you're making me want to bleach the inside of my purses...
