i probably wouldn't respond since very explicit, fantasy-ridden messages from people who've never spoken to me before don't really do it for me.

however, my favorite pizza topping is mushrooms and extra cheese, sometimes with broccoli. :)

If i got a message like that i would not even bother to respond.  I have a wonderful Master and even if i did not a guy like that is not worth my time.  I don't like pain though so that is just me.

Once I finished laughing, I'd block, then tell him/her/it (a) give up writing - you have no talent for it, and (b) tripple pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon, canadian bacon, grilled chicken, shrimp... with extra cheese, chopped garlic, jalepenos, mushrooms, onions, and bell pepper

Okay, I confess, I'd smile at the punchline and for that ( and that alone ) I might send a one-liner reply saying that it had made me smile.  I'd probably take the trouble to read your profile too.  But the problem is, I might not get to the punchline. 

And that's the problem with satire and irony....it's a lovely, well-written pastiche of the sort of write-once-send-many-times unsolicited fantasies that have occasionally graced my inbox...with a clever contextual twist to closing question.  But how does the reader know that if they don't know anything prior about the author.  You have to keep them reading for four paragraphs without the delete-block response kicking in.  I suppose the 'I really do have one' line should have tipped me the wink but....trust me, it's a little too realistic for comfort.  Ditto the 'I just have to tell you...' opening.  Nothing on earth would persuade me to believe that this fantasy has been written for *me* personally, hence I assume it's generic, hence I lose respect...blah, blah, blah.....because I've bought into the characterisation of the first person narrator just a little too well.

I guess if I got a hurt response back telling me that it was 'for real' then I'd have proved my own point about how thin the line is...

P.S.  Mushrooms and olives are good.  Mozarella or any other soft white cheese is nice.  Spinach or sundried tomatoes perhaps.

*laughs*   Ohman...i would most likely reply with:   That's the best you got?  you need to step up the imagination some more and while doing that assignment.....get over there and order me my damn pizza with mushrooms and extra cheese.
When i am done with my pizza, i will decide if you make it out of this dungeon or not.  While dragging me down there, you did not search me thoroughly, i am always armed....you also let your guard down long enough for me grab another Blade and hide it.  <snickerz>

I probably wouldnt even have read past the first 2-3 lines before deleting it.

Hmm, pizza now thats another topic! I like italian sausage and pepperoni or chicken and chedder. No single toppings on my pizza. [:D]
