If I am a good master for my slave, it seems like a given that she would fall in love me. It is also a given that I would fall in love with her. How could I possibly devote enough of myself to a slave to be considered her master and not fall in love with her and have her fall in love with me? As for hearing it? Yes, her saying it is an expression of self-awareness, honesty and other positive qualities that I both value in my slaves and train where needed. It doesn't please me in the sense that by hearing it I feel loved though. I already know she loves me before she says it. If I didn't, I wouldn't consider myself much of a master. Her actions as a slave make me feel loved far more than mere words ever could.
This does not mean that every master/slave relationship is like this. Different people are different with different needs and different relationships. However, it seems to me that if you are in love with your master, and your master is displeased or disturbed by that idea, you have probably not found the right master for you and need to move on. Of course, moving on is difficult when you're in love. :(
