CNN Poll: Obama approval falls amid controversies

I thought I recently saw a post from one of the Kool Aid minions claiming that Obama's approval rating wasn't suffering in the midst of his scandal ridden administration?

So much for that, huh?

The only poles that count are on election day. ChristianTeaPartyLibertarianRadicalUnregulatedMarketRacistWarPartyConservatives lost.
Get over it or you all will lose again in 2016.

He's not up for reelection. My eye is more turned to Congress to see if it passes any meaningful, helpful legislation.

What are your majority friends in the House up to?

You really do have a hard on for Obama.

Interviews with 1,014 adult Americans conducted by telephone by ORC International on June 11-13, 2013. The margin of sampling error for results based on the total sample is plus or minus 3 percentage points.

The sample includes 710 interviews among landline respondents and 304 interviews among cell phone respondents.

You really can't handle the truth about Obama.

Several. Remember that chap who had to resign and then be issued a pardon by his successor?
(Still, on past form Nader seriously hates it when a Democrat wins, so no wonder he has a chip on his shoulder and has forgotten about Nixon.)

And that matters to me how?

I posted the poll tally because I dont believe 1000 people can decide for the country.

CNN/Opinion Research 45 approval 54 disapprove
Gallup 47 approval 45 disapprove
Rasmussen Reports 47 52
Time 48 44

All these since the report from Snowden came out. Which one is the basis for the actual sentiment of the nation? Who the hell knows.

I have never given polls a lot of importance. They are too easy to manipulate. But if you really take these things to heart you might want to focus more on the public opinion of the next idiot the right decides to run. Obama isn't going to be there.

pahunkboy -> RE: Obama: You've Lost That Loving Feeling (6/17/2013 4:58:45 PM)

People act like Obama is sliced bread.

No one cares about that guy anymore. He ruined the country. He is bushes 4th term. I will be glad when Jeb Bush wins in 2016- so that we can enter bushes fault. Nothing is ever obamas fault- EVER.

I think he should give back his nobel peace prize.

And Bush wasn't running in 2008, either. If the President fucks up the brand, if he crashes the confidence of voters in government to be a positive force in the lives of the people, then yes, he can damn well hand the White House back to a Republican, on a silver platter.

So . . . hand it over to the Party that wants less government, smaller govenment, will restore voter confidence in government as a positive force? If ever there were a bald contradiction that's it. Makes no sense at all, Rich. How can government be a positive force when run by a Party that offers only negatives?

Wow. It makes perfect sense, Vince, if you can wrap your mind around the concept that not everyone sees placing more and more faith in government is a desireable and positive thing.

Whatever. Have a lovely night.

It's not the party itself that offers only negatives. It's the ignorant Bible thumping turds who have taken it over.

Did you catch Ryan making the comment that they werent the fringe.. they ARE the main stream of the GOP?

Paul Ryan on Friday morning, addressing the conservative Faith & Freedom™ "Road to the Majority" conference:

“The left likes to think that we are the fringe. Guess what? You and I, we are the mainstream,” he said. “When you take a look at what’s happening, the goal we have in front of us is to reclaim the center of our politics.”

Yes, that's right, Paul Ryan and the hard-right social conservatives he was talking with represent the mainstream of American politics. Sure, there's that little detail about how we just had a big national election and Paul Ryan's side lost by a pretty healthy margin, but that doesn't count. As Paul has explained to us before, the only reason he and Mitt Romney lost the election was because "urban" voters turned out en masse for President Obama. And everybody knows they aren't real Americans.

Gave me the giggles!

joether -> RE: Obama: You've Lost That Loving Feeling (6/18/2013 12:15:34 AM)

Lets put things in perspective:

President Obama's Approval Rating is 47%.
Congress's approval rating is 13%.
The 4th Branch of our Government is at 23%

Now which of these three groups is doing the best?

Which is doing the worst?

Should we bash the group that is doing the best more than the one that is doing the worst? Isn't that like counter-productive?

Granted both Congress and Newspapers are not rated on a 'day by day' rating like the President of the United States.

Obama is not what he portrayed himself to be, and I am a democrat saying that.

As for congress, the majority of the members of the house and senate are idiots, regardless of party affiliation.

I am not aware of a fourth branch of government, all I remember learning about the three branches of government, legislative, executive, and judicial.

Unless the fourth branch is the administration of the loony bin who are waiting with the anti crazy meds when needed.

SilverMark -> RE: Obama: You've Lost That Loving Feeling (6/18/2013 5:27:20 AM)

I was looking at a few poll results concerning the Parties, not the individuals, seems more relevant at this time. 62% of those polled find the Republicans out of touch with the people, 52% think they are too extreme, only 39% think they are open to change. The only place the Republicans seem to be well thought of is the question about being principled, where they get 63% and the Democrats get 57%. I'd say with a President unable to run again, these numbers may be more relevant to the future.

All done by Pew 1504 people, 50-50 land line/cell phones,

The press is often referred to as "The fourth branch".
