When I first came on to Collarme.com back in 2004, I would spend most of my time on Collarme and I would rarely come into Collarchat. I was fascinated by fact there was a site where I could find local people and beyond. Then the past few year's, I have slowly found myself on this "side of the fence" Collarchat little by little. When I look back at some of my earlier posts here on Collarchat, I couldn't believe some of the stuff I would type. I guess still being a young sub in his 20's. But I can see where my mentality has changed a lot from my earlier posts to my latter post.

These day's. I don't really even use the Collarme section except once in awhile. Now for some reason, I actually look forward to coming on Collarchat and see what people from all around the world have to say. Can Collarchat become addicting? Don't get me wrong, I have a life and I don't spend every breathing moment of my life on Collarchat. But considering I use to never come in here and now I only come in these rooms, is that just growing up or Collarchat being too "addicting"?. I mean "addicted" in a good way.

I think it is addicting because collarchat is competitive...it is fun to match wits with other strong minded people.

As someone who has been on collarchat for a long time, I can say it was addicting at one time, but now there seems to be less fun and more boring threads.

Also, when you mention matching wits with strong minded people..well, there is the rub. When you do demonstrate your strong minded attitude, other people cry foul (or mob mentality or some such nonsense). Or, you get the people who cannot stand to hear replies to their posts so they freak out.

I only recently realized that we are not as free to discuss things as I thought. We have to tread very lightly so people don't get offended.

I still like Collarchat, but it is totally not the way it was in the past. I used to laugh out loud at threads, now that happens very infrequently.

Like the op I started out trying to satisfy a kink and find like minded locals...I did...so the other side was useful. After that ran its course I started visiting the message boards and I tend to stay in off topic and politics and religion because the subjects are ever changing.

Yea we get the same old subjects over and over at times and I usually skip them... but most days something interesting is posted and it is fun to state an opinion.

Addiction is an interesting word. I've taken long tracks away from collarchat (and collarme for that matter) but I always seem to come back.

Can't resist sharing an oldie but goody.

With out a doubt the forums are the place - to learn share, and use to be to laugh about some experience we'd had in our world.

I'm returning after a break and its great to see the regulars

Same as a few others have said....I might not post here as much as some (and sometimes I regret what I posted) but I love to read all the different opinions on different subjects...things I would never think about! So for me it is addicting.

For me, it is a bit addicting. Really makes my workouts fly by, too (like right now).

~FRing it~

I'm not an addict, man! Seriously...I can quit Collarchat any time I want to. I'm not a forum junkie

Ok, that's a bit of a lie. I actually am kind of loving it here. Maybe a little too much

It used to be. But these days I'm not around as much because I'm too busy. I'm just here these days when I have nothing else to do and I'm bored or I can't sleep.

I've met a few Dommes from Collarme before. That's how I got to meet my current "Domme" now. Collarme has certainly served it's purpose. Collarchat is a good way to learn new things from people who have experience in this way if life from all over the world. I think Collarme/Collarchat is the number 1 BDSM social site on the internet or that's what they say anyways. I do like Fetlife too but my computer always messes up when I do go on Fetlife but that's ok. I still prefer Collarme/Collarchat. Nothing against Fetlife. I love how I can find local events in my area on FT.
