Greetings quote:
I've been sorta acedemicaly interested. In BDSM and magic. I definitely am sure Gerald was on to something. I also don't think he was using new techniques he invented. Yes he was a nudist. But I don't see any point in his life where he could have kNown or learned about real kink. Well nudity is not really a kink, not inn and off itself. In Pagan eyes nudity is natural, we are born nude and being nude is not sexual, it is not provocative it is just how we naturally are under our clothes. Many Pagans feel that magickal energies flow better when you are nude., to some Pagans nudity is just a spiritual practice and to some it is just the natural state of being without that indicating kink in any way. quote:
I honestly suspect he leaned about the use of controlling blood flow and "sub space" type mindsets from his "mysterious" teaching coven. I know his ideas work. We use similar. This is a common practice in many form of occultism of which Gardener was familiar. I however do not think they are kink specific, I mean what we here on the forum call sub space is basically what would be called gnosis on a occult forum. We now there are several ways to set the human mind in an altered state of consciousness and pain, dedication and strong emotion are some of them. quote:
Nephandi. I've got several responses to your post. (I want to chat more with u about this.) but I'm on a crany I phone andits tough to read my responses when I'm trying to post. So I post when I think my message is understandable. I want to apologize for the hassle. Not a problem, not a problem at all. quote:
Lol. No prob! BTW stand for British Tradirional Wicca. It's a term we use to seperate us from mainstream "book read and taught supposed wiccans". It desifnates a Trad that's handed down person to person. Word for word. Nothing may be subtracted. But stuff can be added to a line of teacher/student. Thank you for the clarification. I do have issue with the supposed Wiccan part though. I feel that if you have studied yourself and follow the teachings of Gardner and those inspired by him and consider yourself to be Wiccan then you are not a supposed Wiccan, you are a Wiccan even if you have not had the benefit of a teacher or a Coven to give you direct training. I understand how your line works and that is a great way to do it. I just think one should not look down on those who are book taught ether. Yes having a teacher is the best way to learn but that is not a option for everyone. quote:
The very exhistence of my Trad disputes these supposed sholorly claims. His Trad and Mine are very different but the fundamentals are very very similar. Somewhere, there is obviously a common root from which we all decend. Perhaps. Well we do know allot of Western occultism have taken inspiration from the Golden Dawn of which Gardener also had roots so that is one link at least. I wish you well
