Happy summer solstice to all. For us in Alaska, it means the sun will seem not to set. Just cross the horizon to the other side.

Well, here in texas, I think the summer solstice happened in April, when we broke 100 for the first time this year.... which was immediately followed by a week of highs in the low 70's.

But happy solstice to everyone, and for lady pact, having never been in Alaska, I can not even imagine what it would be like to not see the sun set.

Speaking as somebody who wasn't born and raised here, it is kind of weird to Me, still. We also have what is often called the 'high noon moon' in the other half of the calendar.

What really sticks out to Me is how hard it can be to gauge what time it is during both summer and winter. I've been on this kick lately about being up late. It just doesn't seem late because the sun is still out.

I bet. Of course here lately my internal clock has been out of whack. Part of it, I am sure, is my dealing with baggage I have tried to lock away in my mind for years. The other part is the dogs have figured out how to get extended play time outside and avoid the hot part of the day... Their procedure is simple, wake daddy up at 5 AM.

Of course with a 6 month old pup in the house, I bought a new alarm clock that has four alarm time settings, this way I get up during the night to take him out.

Jeff, I think I'll save the Mods the headache of what I would say about the baggage discussion right now.

We have cats that have been doing the same thing. My little Nermal is leading the pack on this. Sleeps all day and wants to play with Mommy and Daddy at night. We used to play a game called "whiskers". Now we have a game called "let's play with Mommy's face" where she literally uses her paw to "pet" Me. Annoying as hell for an insomniac.

I had 3 trips up to Norway in my trucking days.
Probably not as extreme as Alaska but still way off beat.

I went twice in the summer and once in the winter.
It's eeirie as fuck and threw my body clock to hell.
Trying to sleep at 'night' when the sun is still out or doing your normal daytime stuff when it looks like it's in the middle of the night felt really weird to me.

I dunno how you cope with that 24/7 LP, I really don't.
But I guess after a long while you get used to it.

That's the good thing about being a submissive, the dominant has to do all the work !!

I think I've just lost a friend .

I've often wondered what it's like to live in Alaska. It sounds an amazing place. Happy summer Solstice, LadyPact!
