iwillserveu -> Indian Summer my ass (11/13/2004 7:28:52 AM)

According to my calander, which is supposedly based on the Old Farmer's Almanac, Yesterday began Indian Summer. Today (Nov. 13th 2004) it snowed. Actually mixed with rain so it slushed.[:)] Today I had my first fishtale on a side street. (Not much of a fishtale, before I could react it found purchase.)

I hate Winter. Anyone wonder why I went to Louisiana to see Domme of Thunder in February?[:)]

It was supposed to be sunny and in the 50's here yesterday, so we decided to play golf. Well the fog never lifted and i don't think it got over 38 all day, brrrrrrrrrr.,froze my ass off.

Ah, it's almost that time of year when I confirm my sadistic nature by sending pictures of me on Redondo Beach to my poor old friends on the east coast.

It was a bit chily this morning for my morning jog. I had to wear long sweat pants instead of shorts. And the day's high will only make it to 68. Damn, a bit too chilly to be able to put the top down on the car. But tomorrow, and for the rest of the week it will be sunny and in the 70's, as most likely it will be the next week, the following week, and the week after that, etc, etc, etc....

I left the mountains of Pennsylvania 15 years ago and never looked back. I did my time.

I actually enjoy winter, snow and cold, cuddling to keep warm, spanking to keep warm, so many possible ways to try and keep warm [:D]

sub4hire -> RE: Indian Summer my ass (11/14/2004 1:34:15 PM)

I have to agree with Merc, it is quite nice here. Wind is blowing just a bit. Warm sunny day.

Yankee,

Your post inspired me to post this, taken Sunday morning in my back yard.

I'll trade my panhandle florida with our sugar white beaches for Alaska anyday. I'd like a season. Something other than HOT, wet, bitterly cold. believe it or not, The winters here seems soooo much colder. I feel like I'm going to lose body parts if it gets to 30 here. In Alaska I would leave my jacket behind for the same temp. Damned humitity

Mercnbeth -> RE: Indian Summer my ass (11/15/2004 12:19:58 PM)

Agree with you about Florida. I don't think I've ever been comfortable there regardless of the temperature.

Here by the water in SoCal daytime temperature range is 60-80, 365 days a year. Humidity, like bugs, seems to have been outlawed. This being California, the bugs were humanely re-located versus outright killed.

Sweet.

You're such a wiseguy that I figure you gotta be another New Yorker.

Am I right, or is it just the stench of Jersey I'm smelling here?

Best,

Yankeestick

Mercnbeth -> RE: Indian Summer my ass (11/15/2004 4:12:15 PM)

=============

BTW, where in are your roots in NYC?

sweetpleaser -> RE: Indian Summer my ass (11/16/2004 7:52:58 AM)

I'm in south Florida and this is the time of year that it gets pleasant here. It is 80 during the day, less humidity, and 59 at night. BEAUTIFUL. Now come next summer I will be one of these people who whine because I miss the seasons and snow.
