Status: offline 		Everyone has preferences. Having, and applying, those to finding a mate or partner is something we all do. Now what I don't like is when someone applies those preferences in deciding if someone is good or bad; when they look at those not falling into the range of preference, and seeing someone less than them.

Status: offline 		I'm a large-sized Dominant Woman who doesn't particularly care about the size of others.  I think it would be a little hypocritical of Me to hold others to standards that I Myself don't meet.

Status: offline 		I checked I'm a dominant who doesn't care about size because unless I read the OP wrong, if you cared about size was the only reason you put your size.  If you don't care about size, put your feelings about it.  Although I am large, the poll query was to list your answer based on size only if you cared about size, otherwise pick one of the other answers.  Whether the weights fit any recognized parameters other than the OP's description next to it, is pretty irrelevant at this time, as this is a poll.  I'm hazarding a guess that maybe this was inadvertently placed in the wrong forum because of this post:

yeah, thats kind of what I was thinking.... 100 lbs is a lot of ground to cover for one group.

I took this poll because I was currious just how many people were present who put size like people in the vanilla world first on thier priority list even over their lifestyle which this site caters to.
Its plain by the poll taken that the majority of people polled do not come to this site to seek alternate lifestylers but people who fit their body perfect views. Says alot about the lifestylers of today here on collarme and where their priorities sit. (This poll does not represent the views of collarme. ~smiles~)

I guess I go a lot on someone else's personality more than anything, but have to say I wouldn't ever want someone so skinny they looked like a Holocaust victim. I guess I like people who are not dangerously overweight, either - but really do have to emphasize that personality over-rides a lot with me.

Status: offline 		I learned a long time ago that many people cannot control their weight. My sister is fighting to keep 100 lbs on her and always has to listen to people calling her anorexic, she just has a high metoblism. I also have a friend that is considered obese at her lightest, because her bone structure and muscle mass is high for a woman. I fit into the medium catagory, yet have to hear how small I am all the time.

I understand the reason for the poll, but you need to figure out a way to divide the weight catagories better to not get that discussion going first. I also wonder how the poll results would have gone if you didn't put the emphasis on weight in the way you asked the quuestion.

Status: offline 		I have always liked shorter, heavier guys.... my one exboyfriend is 5'4", and weighs 220 lbs...... but, my boyfriend now is 5'11", and wieghs 130 lbs.... so size doesn't matter to me... now me on the other hand, when i met my boy, i was 5'3",  145 lbs.   now i weigh closer to 200..... (my son just turned a year old... lol that's my excuse...)

Status: offline 		IMHO I don't think anyone should have to make excuses or even an attempt to justify themselves. Honestly we all have our own personal tastes. Do heavier women gravitate more towards BDSM. MAYBE.... I don't think anyone has done a research study to prove or disprove this at all. I simply look at it like this. If you don't like heavy women that's your choice/preference then don't get involved with one, But also at the same time don't try to make them feel like crap because they aren't what your looking for. (I'm certainly not saying everyone or even the majority of people do this just simply making a statement) At the same time if you are over weight you shouldn't allow someone else to make you feel like shit about your body. It's yours, you make the decisions about your body or you ALLOW someone else to make them for you. Whatever the case is.. be proud of who you are, walk with your shoulders back and your head held up high. There is more to someone than what they look like on the outside. And last but not least don't force yourself to change for anyone other than yourself.

Status: offline 		To me its not the size of the person whether Dom,Domme, sub or slave, but whats inside.  A true lifestyler  comes from within.   How on earth does weight or size change that in a person ?   I used to be thin, I am now heavier... I am still me in my mind, my  heart and my soul.  I am still a slave .  I have not changed.. So for me size means absolutely nothing except ability to move about easier, and get into the pretzel shapes Master wishes me to be in LOL.   
Just my opinion...

And I would mention that a dominant has the right to direct his submissive to look the way he or she desires. And of course, the submissive has the right to leave if that isn't acceptable.

Status: offline 		A person who is larger, smaller, whatever does need to take care of themselves to present a pleasant appearance.   My statement of not caring about size has nothing to do with caring about appearance.. Of course appearance means alot.   A heavy woman, a heavy man can look nice,   and be very attractive in my opinion.  As well as a skinny person.  You just need to take good care to present your body as best as possible to please yourself as well as others.

Status: offline 		This post is for all... There is an old Italian proverb: The Eye Too Likes To Eat (Anche L'Occhio Mangia) -- and everyone has their own favorite flavors! As for me, I am about proportions more than weight and size.

As for MistressDread's methodology, which she admits is to fit the information she seeks, well... I have a degree in Sociology (which includes satistics and polling) and feel safe in saying her approach should seek ALL information, not just the one that suits her need. She can flame all she wants, if it makes her feel better... 160-260??? I am 5'10, 175#, and that does not make me Large, lol...

There have been some VERY beautiful plus size women and some very sexy plus size men. But allowing someone else your not involved with or who can't accept you for you and wants only to change you is not someone worth being with. My point was you shouldn't let someone dictate how you feel about your body unless you have gotten involved with someone and given them the chance to make that decision for you nor should that person if they care about the person they are involved with make some feel negative or badly about themselves.

I agree, larger folks can indeed look good . I know a number of rubenesque women that completly and utterly sexy.
