Status: offline 		I've actually had a couple of young adults pushed My way recently. Not in the same context but close enough. I don't exactly ask for somebody's political affiliation if they want to experience play type X and they get introduced to Me. Then again, My friends aren't looking to set Me up with a relationship partner and if the other person isn't bold enough, they may not get to play with Me during the average dungeon night. My dance card was already pretty full for the camp out a few weeks ago before we ever even got to the camp out. I made time for a couple of extra bottoms during the event for exactly this reason.

I will grant you that we're of the same opinion about the twitter thing. A person answering a text for an emergency reason or because they had established some kind of safety check in is one thing. Paying more attention to the phone than the person you are having a meal with isn't the most polite thing, in My opinion.

Just try to remember that your friends did mean well. Maybe have a little talk with them about what is important to you and that it's more than just the physical appearance type.

Status: offline 		I have, stating that I appreciated the gesture, and they did apologize because the way she was last night seemed to be different from her personality at school.

They are both faculty at one of the local colleges, and she is this young ladies adviser. It seems this young woman complains about the immaturity of the young men at the college.

I was also told that her make up was heavier than she wears at school, but then the school has a dress code (what do you expect from a church of Christ affiliated institution.)

I also received a text message from the young lady in question which stated she had a nice time, and wondered if she could call me at some time.

Dude with the meds I am on for bipolar, blood pressure (doc says since I will not get the stress out of my life...) I have absolutely zero sex drive. While there are medications that will remedy that problem, (not ED, that still works) until I get some issues settled, I do not want a sexual relationship at this time.

OK call me a prude, but they are faculty members and one is her adviser and they are bringing her to meet a possible date, fwb, fuck buddy, future husband, wtfe?

I find that unprofessional and creepy as hell. I think they should be fired.

Status: offline 		Errr, yeah, I find the involvement of school faculty to be unprofessional as well and it feels sleazy to me.

What did you expect from someone so much younger as far as her maturity level and compatibility? You must have known her age when the friends were talking about setting you up. Even if she was supposed to be more mature, how can it be possible that she's mature enough to make up for a 32 year age difference? It's hard for me to understand why you'd agree to this blind date knowing just her age - that would be enough to say no fly zone.

It's hard for me to think that the friends thought this was an appropriate thing to suggest, I also find it hard to understand why you'd ever say yes in the first place.

Jeff, if you want a relationship with someone who is your equal in real life, thinks like you, has had the life experiences you've had, then date women your own age.

No, you won't get the barely legal eye candy but you will get someone you can talk to. If the eye candy is more important, then accept that nothing else will match.

I have a lot of young friends that are just that, friends.

I am not looking for eye candy on my arm, those relationships never work out in the end.

Right now, you can say I am looking for a companion, someone besides my family to talk to, and hang out with.

Status: offline 		For some reason they considered the idea of hooking me up with a much younger woman would "revitalize" my sense of adventure, bring out my inner child, and make me feel young again.

I pointed out a few little things they did not take into consideration

1) One cannot have much of a sense of adventure when one uses a cane to walk because he and his doctor are trying to put off a TKR for as long as possible.

2) A 52 year old acting like a 19 is not a pretty sight, society tends to frown on such things.

3) At my age, with the complications from injuries due to be stupidly brave as a younger person, feeling young again could lead to a disastrous end.

4) Any girl or woman that thinks the Twilight Series was the greatest contribution literature in the Horror genre in general and Vampires specifically are not my type of woman. I am sorry but Bram Stoker was the first and greatest author dealing with vampires, and there were many authors of gothic horror and modern horror books that contributed more to the genre than the Twilight series.

My personal library ranges from two different folios of the Complete works of Shakepeare to Asimov, Clarke, H G Wells, David Drake, and Stephen King.

Oh man, faculty? Their assessment of what you like, and their judgement rank the same. POOR POOR POOR! Disappointing to hear faculty would be doing this, and plus at a Christain facility? Very sad, creepy, and scarey to me.
