Mom, in the short time I spent with her, taught me that I mattered. She taught me being truthful is usually a more effective tool in life, but a little white lie, now and then won't sink a ship. My mom taught me by her actions that fearing the loss of a parent's praise and seeing in their eyes, hurt and disappointment goes a lot further than the fear of the rod. Doesn't mean I was an innocent, but I sure tried not to being discovered as often as possible. But mostly, I did do right by mom. Rosa
