On the flip side to bondage/ confinement preparedness, In the event of...
( this was taken from another site)
Does anyone have a protocol in place, in the event of an untimely death? Do you have someone you trust...to shut down your account, disperse of your toys? Etc... I know we would all like to think we will live to an age, where we may outlive our kinks...but things can happen, that may be unexpected. What if you have children or parents, who may not understand, and be shamed to discover your kinks? Or do you just say, screw it. I'm dead, why should I care.....

Oh my geez. Fortunately im not a keeper of stuff. I own no actual toys, I would think I would be able yo go into the ground with only the people who know now still knowing.that being said,kinda dependson how you die ,doesnt it?

I don't have protocols in place as such, though I contemplate sorting it out in my will at some point (sold/auction off clothing and useable toys and donate proceeds to a kink organisation)

My biggest worry is that I would die in bliss of my marks, yet Arturas could end up in jail , at least for questioning during his time of grieve. Thinking its time for legal contracts to be drawn.

Many years ago, I came across one of those pictures... you know the kind I'm talking about... when doing a search in my computer. Oh damn, I say to myself, I can't leave this there for the kids to find. I am sure they have seen it before somewhere down the line, but I'm sure it would shock them. So... knowing my way of things, I tell them about myself. Okay, I got caught with a son surprising me with a visit and my submissive in messenger calling me Ma'am. Same visit his wife goes to check out my movies. Opps. What's this movie about mom? The Secretary. Well... I explain it and me.

So I decided since I don't want anyone to have all my passwords and do a clean up on the comp and chances are my daughter is getting here before anyone else could come clean up... I told her, do not open, just toss this particular thing away and they deserve anything they find for all the rotten things they ever did to their kinky mama.

No more worries.

Have fun kids... I know you will never forget or stop talking about me now!

If you think that's funny, you should have seen my daughters face! ROFLMAO! Her response after the shock was... I know we will approach everything very carefully, I really don't need to see that. This is the same chicky that told my submissive what was what. I used to call her the little domina up and coming. Her husband said, she tries, but she just isn't ready yet. Anyway, family dinner and submissive says: I think we have a deal, where I get holidays off and can tell you what to do. My daughter laughs and says... that's not the way it works darlin.

I was so proud.

I still have the old phone of my son's with the text messages that had the other son saying how he loved whips and chains and the other responding that he was sick. Now that your children need therapy, Lockit! LOL. I'm good at hiding my browsing history, toys are hidden for only Arturas to be able to get to. Again, it would be the marks on the body that would need some serious explaining in the hospital, morgue and possibly to my kids if they were to find me, scary thought.

If something were to happen to all three of us, he has already arranged for a trusted friend to clean out the play house and deal with his furniture and toys. One of our adult daughters know about our interests and has seen a modified version of his dungeon, so she would not be shocked, but we don't want her dealing with that stuff while also dealing with all three of her parents passing.

We do not avoid the topic of death and what we want to happen in the event of it. We each have a will, a living will and medical power of attorney. This is something we set up after we had been living together for a year.

That would be the one concern I would have. I am very careful with whom I break the law with.

In this, I am not sure what protection you could have for the surviving partner that has left marks. That is when I think our openness with people could help because they could say, it was consensual and we all knew they were into a different type of lifestyle and were very happy together.

I do wonder if anyone else would have some thoughts on how to deal with that. You bring up a good point Tammy.

Again, this is another benefit of being a part of a D/D couple.

If we would both happen to be taken out in a car wreck or some such thing, both of my (grown adult) kids know that I've got toys and such. Neither of them are going to flip out over the flogger collection.

I cleaned out my mother's sex toys after her death. It didn't scar me for life. I doubt such a thing would cause my kids lasting problems either.

They grew up in a sex positive household so why should it?

I've not made any plans as far as what happens after I die. If whoever deals with my belongings after I die gets all filled with shame and traumatized by what they might find, Im far beyond caring at that point. Who knows...maybe they will be inspired by what they find. Lord knows I enjoyed the hell out of my gear

Forget the toys and who would find them. What about your partner who could at least be questioned by the police if not brought p on charges. Family could find out you was bruised all over, if your partner was close to them, how would they react?
