Honestly...I believed at one time that no educated & confident woman would voluntarily refer to herself as a slave or that an educated woman would ever be stupid enough to believe that someone else could be trusted to make decisions that impacted her..

Now, here I sit an educated & confident female slave that realizes that, not only is it possible to trust someone else that much, there is a good chance that this person will put your interests above his own...

Wish we had a like or a love feature so I could use it here...

That's what I've been saying, we need like or love buttons.

I used to believe that,
By playing with play do I killed my father. (Seriously)

That the universe is run on what is right belief system, so as long as I was good and stood up for good than nothing bad should happen to me. (Wtf)

That the " be careful of what you wish for" was BS

When I was very young I actually believed that Mount Rushmore was a natural phenomenon. Just a coincidence the structure looked like our former presidents which made it the amazing landmark it is.

I used to believe there was someone for everyone, but now I don't think that at all.

I always heard from my mother that every pot has a cover, but I recently told her I think I am a wok.

We used to love to camp out in our back yard and air planes would fly by and I saw their blinking lights an at the time I didn't know what they were, and I asked lyn and he said they were aliens coming to abduct me an I got so scared, I totally believed him. I went inside an left him sleeping out in the yard.

I have a wok with a lid.

Hahahaha....you and me, too, Moonlight, and probably most others at the time.

In fact, I remember, way back they, when I was in the presence of family members and that song came on, they never failed to sing the, "There's a bathroom on the right," even tho' they knew the lyrics were otherwise. They thought it was a hoot.

My husband and his best friend think it's great. Sigh I have more but I would hate for him to come on here, read it and be reminded of something he actually forgot already. :D

When I was in grade school, I used to think that actors were little people who lived in the tv and that they acted it out on the spot in the tv. I remember thinking that when they did reruns they must be bored acting it out the exact same way every time.

I also used to believe that gnomes lived in the tables and if you put your head to it, you could hear them digging away in their caverns.

Also, I'm not sure if I actually believed a frog would turn into a prince, but I did go around kissing toads and frogs often.

When I was a kid, whenever there was a song on the radio, I used to believe that musicians were actually performing it live from the studio. When they told me that they were just playing records, I seem to remember feeling really let down, like being told there was no Santa Claus.

When I was a kid, I used to believe that real live musicians were actually performing on the recordings and the radio, and the TV shows. And they were.

I used to believe - a very long time ago - that everyone was the same religion as me. It never occurred to me that there was another one.

I believed that "Bat Out of Hell" was by Pink Floyd until I was in my early 20's. Because a friend of mine had copied me The Wall on an old tape which had that on it. I even worked out a whole way it worked with the narrative. After the wall was torn down, he burst out of where he was like a bat out of hell.

I also want through a fucking 9/11 conspiracy phase. Thankfully, that one didn't last long.

You weren't that far off as a kid, though, because Theatre is much older than television, and live theatre is exactly the thing you just described.

(And as someone who's worked in theatre: your child mind thinking it must be boring is so very wrong.)

I used to believe that, when it thundered, people in heaven were bowling.
I also believed there was potential for severe flooding, and subsequent drowning,
from an overflowing toilet! They still scare me to this day.
At least I never feared that pork chops were out to get me, like my twin did!
