No2 son graduated last week. I graduated Monday but went to the beach instead, and no1 son graduates tomorrow. I may have mentioned this before.

He is getting first class honours - which is the highest you can get here in the uk. He's also getting the Presidents Prize because he gained the highest average mark of any student on any course this year In the university he attends. He came top of the whole Uni.

He also had multiple tumours in his mastoid bone. Went to school as an unintelligible talker - he had No intelligible speech, and still has only 60%hearing - he only has 10% in this right ear.

They were able to remove the tumours (3 times they came back the bastards) and then they reconstructed the inside of his ear with microsurgery.

I had to fight for a school to take him - they wanted to send him to a special school and I refused because I am sure he would not have achieved what he has if he had gone there.

So, today I get on a plane and tomorrow I will watch him get his degree.

And quite probably blub the whole way through.

The three of us are going to get a pic taken with all of us in robes - because we all graduate in the one year. I think it would be cool.

The young ones looked fab.

I was very proud.

The 14 lost her passport. Was dodgy getting home on the plane lol. She also spent an hour getting ready the first night, make up hair perfect dress, we walked 20 yards and a seagull shit right on her head.

The ex was a pain.

I was very proud. Did I mention I was proud?

I also blubbed.

And - he never told his tutors he was deaf!!! They know know but it's a bit late. Humph.

He was supposed to meet us at the bus station in town, and we were walking put of departures into the main bit of the airport and the 14 screamed "I see X" the two of them abandoned their suitcases and ran the length of the airport and he scooped them into the biggest hug.

That was the first time I cried. It was not the last.
