What does a person posting frequently have to do with it? Dude, I play WoW. Quite often, I might add. Doesn't make it part of My identity. It means that's what I do to pass the time. Your post leads others to believe that you presume others have repressed guilt. It's not the case. Heck, I'm a sadist. I don't apologize to people for engaging in the activities that I enjoy. I do it for fun. Other people play tennis or waterski. I don't grok on the same stuff they like but it doesn't mean that they don't. You don't like the stuff that I do. Does that mean I should have guilt over it?

It's not a meltdown, hon. (Though I won't say I'm in favor of you trying to perpetuate things about Me that aren't true. That's not a nice thing.) To Me, there really isn't a difference if other folks base their kinks on money, or needles, or power, or sex, or play. I do what I do for the reasons that I do it. Like it or not, that's exactly why you do what you do. Those reasons don't have to be the same. What happens quite often about these discussions is, there are some bitter, angry people out there. The same folks who wouldn't be bitter and angry if their wants were being met. Yet, these are the same folks who aren't willing to invest what it takes to get those wants met. Money, time, social skills, physical attraction, distance, inconvenience. We used to have a great poster here who passed away a few years ago. Male sub who would often ask folks to respond on threads, not about what they wanted, but what were they actually willing to do (remember "do" is a verb that implies action) about obtaining their kink. Lots of excuses about how it's too much or too hard. Not many how are willing to get off their ass and be PROACTIVE about what they want.

I read this in the NYT on SAT. This is from the art theft case. The Romanian art thief got started by hooking his girlfriend up as a kinky contact for hire. This has to be common here on CM as well (not art theft, but girls for hire.)
