I still do not like the idea of 6 rather than 12 jurors…It just seems too easy to get a consensus one way or the other on something as serious as murder 2nd degree or not. Butch

The one and only jury I ever sat on, we didn't get to the manslaughter charge at all because we had already found him guilty of m2 with special circumstance. We sent out one request to the judge for a clarification on the weapons charge because the wording on the instruction seemed convoluted to several of the jurors (wasn't to me, but I was out voted and hence the request made) and they weren't sure if they were supposed to vote yes or no on it. Double negative on jury instruction <-- not good

That is why he had to make up the lie about Martin going for his gun.

You have to admit the prosecution messed up the OJ case...I just think 12 minds are better than 6 at going over the details of this case and it would be harder for a dominant personality to take over and unduly influence the jury. Butch
