With the loss one of our CM friends had recently, I have been doing some thinking... (that burning wire smell you have all been smelling is me, sorry.) Last year, I had a femtib bypass in my right leg, the femoral artery was 98% blocked with clots and plaque. The plaque kind of shocked me, I eat healthy, use minimum oil when I cook, no more than a tablespoon except in my stir fry sauce, then it is four tablespoons of canola oil and one of sesame oil. Once a month I treat myself to either a BK whopper or a small pizza. If I eat any more salads I am going to grow long ears and a cotton ball tail and become a frigging rabbit. I have always eaten healthy except for a period of depression during my series of back surgeries. The point is that I had a problem that is usually associated with junk food, lots of grease and a generally unhealthy life style. I take an aspirin a day, and am on two blood pressure meds, a cholesterol med and I dont eat junk food and I walk a minimum of 3 miles a day. Add to that my niece's boss, a 35 year old man who jogs 6 miles a day, does not eat anything at burger king where he works, had so little body fat that he sank in a pool... 3 months ago he had a stroke. People, what I am saying is that it is not only your lifestyle, it is also genetics. If you can, get a physical once a year, get a blood pressure cuff, especially any man over 30. Dont take any chances. I have many on these boards I consider friends, dont know how they feel about me, but it does not matter. When you are borderline agoraphobic, online friends are very important.
