ORIGINAL: ARIES83 Yer, I actually had a friend who had do what she called "pelvic floor exercises" (don't know if thats the proper name) after her baby, apparently she went overboard with them because as troubling an idea as it is... She could clench it very hard... Though there are also women who put no effort into their body after a kid, and... It's quite evident... (I'm thinking of another friend specifically who I knew before and after.) And I realise I'm probably begining to sound like a slut but I'm far far from it trust me... PS... Their not my kids... Kegels. I've done them. Don't know if they were the reason why I bounced back to the way I was before kids or I was just lucky, but I still do them. I've had three (pretty large) kids (the biggest at 9 lbs 5 oz). Yes, some moms do let themselves go after having children. It may not always be the case, but it seems to me that's because they're not taking time for themselves. After taking care of the kids, significant other, job, and house, it's difficult to set that time aside and even more difficult to find the time. I'm lucky I work from home. Those few extra hours not spent on the road are invaluable to me.
