Status: offline 		what accent just fuckin' kills the mood for you?

a lot of british accents are really terrible boner killers, but the worst for me is upper crusty east coast aristocratic boston brahmin type voices. they're rare but ugh they remind me of childhood too much.

locust valley lockjaw. locked down on a dick. 4ever.

how about you? what kinds of accents just turn you right off?

You're talking about a Liverpudlian accent, I must admit I can take it or leave it, although in general, I find Northern British Ladies accents a turn on.

Don't like Brummy accents though.

Status: offline 		What ever that whiny language is they speak through their nose on Jersey Shore is possibly the most annoying accent on the planet. Bonus points if they're drunk and getting ready to fuck/fight or both a stranger at the time.

Status: offline 		I don't have a problem with any accent. People speak the way they speak. I find the innumerable accents fascinating. What I do have a problem with is accent discrimination. For example, when someone speaks in a phony Southern American accent in order to denote stupidity because, as we all know Southern Americans are stupid.

This story may be apocryphal... it's a story that has gone around about a professor at a collage that I heard some years ago. She was waiting to greet and give a tour to a distinguish visiting PhD who the collage was courting to join the ranks of the faculty. While she was waiting a man came into her office and, in a very southern accent said, "Pardon me ma'am I..." Before he got any further she cut him off and snapped at him, "the waste basket's right there! The rest can wait! Be quick about it as I am expecting someone very iomportant" Well the man took her waste basket and returned with it emptied several minutes later and asked "is there anything else I can do for you ma'am?"


Do I need to go any further? I think you know where this is headed? She learned some valuable lessons that day about bigotry and the gentlemanly behavior of southern mean. I don't know if he signed on at the collage.

Status: offline 		As a speech language pathologist, I find dialects and accents fascinating. There is one, however, that makes my skin crawl....a Tennessee accent. It's hands down THE WORST accent in the south, which are all pretty annoying, particularly when accompanied with bad grammar and lack of vocabulary. Sad to say, my best friend and a dear cousin are both from "Tinnesee" which freaking drives me crazy.
