Gary, while it was a good effort, I'm afraid that you haven't met all the parameters for being in the running. Loosely, you have to be either a brand-new member who suddenly discovers that he or she isn't on the Intro forums and everyone stops being nice when they say something stupid, offensive, insane, or physically/mentally/legally possible. The second parameter is a member who's been on CM for years, but only has a handful of postings that usually fall into the above laundry list, and the third is an poster who should know better and suffers a temporary loss of sanity and decorum over something trivial.

Since up til now your posting have tended to fall on the sane, practical, and do-able side, I'm afraid the committee will have to remove your entry from contention. While it was a nice effort, it clearly showed intent and knowledge of the prize, the coveted Golden Pacifier.

This isn't a flounce, merely an observation on how rude you all are. It seems to me you all get butthurt because I'm not perfect like all of you. Go ahead, delete my post. Ban me! I didn't come here to be attacked. I didn't know there were rules, thought they were more like guidelines. I'll just go somewhere where I'm appreciated and where they actually WANT to hear different opinions, which you all are incapable of. This community used to be so much better but now is such a waste of my time. I thought this community was more understanding. You know nothing about me. Having social anxiety, it takes me a lot to open up. Thank you to those that were nice in their responses. I'm out of here. Have a nice life in your mother's basement with your 20 cats. Bye.

(I realize I'm missing a few, but there's gotta be a bingo in there somewhere. And if I recall correctly, I think there may have been a flounce very similar to this in the past).

Now a post like that is a definite contender. Only thing missing is a veiled reference to another poster or interest to make it a 10/10. And the inclusion of "I am forwarding this entire thread to the proper authorities for possible criminal prosecution". I actually had that one come up on the firearms board I modded for a painfully short time.
