Status: offline 		In a welcome break from the serious stuff that's demanded my focus a lot lately, I wiped my mind clean and dove into adorning my apartment door for the building's Americana decorating contest. It was a heaven-sent release.

And I won!

Sorry the photo isn't better. Phone camera; dark hallway. The white pages are PowerPoint slides containing verses from "America the Beautiful" accompanied by pertinent images.

I'd originally planned just to hang the slides, but I soon realized that wasn't enough. So I added the flags, hand-made paper ribbons, and bows. Not sure I want to know what it says about me that I had all that stuff handy at ten on a Thursday night!

Even greater was the creative release. For hours last night, my mind was joyously clear of gray clouds.
