Jason deserves it. *lol* (although I don't care for Violet's character, she is making Jason's character even more interesting.)

And Tara? I swear, the writers have treated her like a punching bag, and some sort of throw away character this whole time. If they do that to her (and to her rather evil mom) I will be one very unhappy Trubie.

I think the reason it didn't affect me as much as it could have was because I was already traumatized by Eric's potential demise...

MP and I were talking about this when the show was picked up for season seven. Since Anna is pregnant with twins, that's a pretty tough haul for both parents being on the set once the babies arrive. They may have decided that they wanted to prioritize family.

Oh, thanks. I must have read something that was outdated. :)

I have to admit, I'm not one of those folks who reads up on the lives of the stars of the show. I just want them to play their character and get on with it.

After Jeff posted the link, I did poke around a bit. So far, I haven't seen a reason stated for season seven being the last. All of the articles that I came across have mentioned that TB is still strong in ratings and they aren't mentioning a drop in the following. Does anybody have a link that discusses the decision?

The show's ratings (and money making abilities) remain as strong as ever. (right at the top) I think the reasons are:

1. the stars signed a seven year contract and some don't want to sign another one.
2. vampires don't age.
3. people do. (although I could put that aside for more of my favorite show)
