I'm not a very good cook but I'm good at coming up with simple dishes. Spaghetti is always good, just with some ground beef and source, nothing fancy. Or with little hot dogs cut up in it like Sheldon. Hamburgers, and for really tasty ones I mix onion soup powder into the meat. Stir fry vegetables with chicken or lamb, and mix some noodles into it as well. Sounds weird but it's awesome. Chicken casserole on a bed of plain white rice, that's really easy. A traditional English fry up, bacon, eggs, fried tomatoes on toast. Or BLTs. Roast chicken. Breaded fish bits and chips (sorry, fries). Pancakes. Pancakes are good for any meal.

Yum!

I've only had Korean once but loved it! Bulgogi was my favorite! Hmmm...I haven't tried making that yet!

Tonight I went out to eat with my mom for my birthday. We went to an Afghani restaurant where I had Salmon and it was over Pawal which is a curried jasmine (or basmati) rice that had steamed shredded carrots, raisins and almonds in it. It was yummy...lightly spiced. Had a lovely, warm flavor without being overpowered.

This has a different name but looks like it might be the recipe, yes?

(Note - I love allrecipes but I always read the comments and make changes if there is a consensus, as there is for this one about the cooking instructions for the rice.)

Look for one of those sites that suggests what you can make from certain ingredients.

Yup, I've done this on allrecipes.com - you can search "with these ingredients" and/or "but not these ingredients."

Ok I tried to add pics but "file too large" grrrrrrrr! And yes it's the same thing, different name. We call it that bc the place in Memphis calls it that.

Country breakfasts are always a great idea!

Tomorrow night I'll be making baked chicken thighs with balsamic, brown sugar, dijon mustard, garlic and red pepper flakes; braised kale and grilled zucchini.
