Okay, will someone please let me in on the secret.

What is with these phony Mistresses that say everything you want to hear, but conveniently don't have a webcam to verify, and they tell you to go to some BDSM website and build a profile and dedicate it to them?

Are they getting some kind of kickback? Or could it be they actually work for the website and are just trying to get new people on the website?

I hate wasting all that time talking and then we get to that point... "well if you really want to serve me, go to this website and build a profile and dedicate it to me. Then get the lowest cost membership".

I have heard there might be fakes on this site. I would suggest you start a thread inviting discussion of fakes. It would be great if you would ask for people's views on financial domination too.

I do not have a webcam and will not. Pictures are only available after some converation and a determination is made that I have an actual interest in meeting the person in real life. I have a lifestyle and career which make discression extremely important for me. As for telling someone to join another site or spend money on memberships; I agree, that is not cool. People should be honest about what they want and what they are about. If someone told me I needed to join a site or spend money on a paid subscription before knowing them, I would know right away they are not worth my time. My time is valuable and I hate people wasting it. My advice, as soon as someone you don't know suggests getting a "membership," delete them and don't look back.

Agreed. That's why I make sure I say that upfront. "There are no other websites I will direct you to!"

Not everyone who directs newbies to other sites are getting some financial kickback. I direct people to Fetlife, usually giving them the link where their munch groups (real time groups of kinksters who meet up in restaurants, often once per month) are listed. I let them know that going to several is usually all it takes to start getting invited to play parties. I agree about being redirected to a site where you have to pay money to join; if you don't want to do this then don't. Use the block feature if you don't want any more mail from them.

About the web cam verification thing...I flatly refuse. If someone wants to verify/see me, they can damn well meet up with me in person, either at a munch or at some place like McDonalds or Wendys. I will talk with them via my Trak phone (I keep it under five minutes to cut back on the guys wanking of to the sound of my voice) for up to five minutes, right before a first public meetup.

Btw, that whole thing you described, except for the reluctance to web cam, seems hinky to me. (You're to sing the praises/dedicate a profile to someone you don't even know??? )

That's it right there.

A fake will fulfill your wank fantasies. A real woman will try to get to know you as a person. By talking wank fantasies up front, you're screening out the real women.

I get upset when I hear of a so called Domme on here demanding money or anything from just anyone. Hopefully the man is smart enough not to just send money to anyone. Sometimes they do once then they get bitter and confused. A sub/slave should find someone that they can trust with their whole being. ( yes hard to find these days )
I had a slave that I helped control his ( our ) income and out go of finances and I was able to make sure he saved up enough to visit and do what and when we wanted to . He devoted himself to Me and I was devoted and spent hours on the phone daily with him getting to know him etc.
This is the real world people. Domme's stop begging for money shame on you. You should have your own business going or working for someone to support yourself. Not seen it yet, but the vanilla world may be no different. There was a programme on TV at the start of the work about well known dating agencies using fake accounts to get people to join. They would send out emails saying these people are in your area and looking for love etc, using photos stolen from the net.

AFAIK my photo hasnt been stolen...

Ya, not only have I seen this guy on ads for different vanilla dating services, but this "local" guy apparently moved to Massachusetts from Florida the same time I did.

I think Fakery & Financial domination are two of the most disturbing phenomena on CollarMe. These issues should be exposed & discussed fully & at length, so there is no doubt as to where we all stand over this.

Can you find a way to ask upfront if the person has it in mind to direct you to another site? Might save time. Also, you might not want to mention in your profile that you're into financial domination. Save that information for someone who has taken the trouble to get to know you.
