I turned a dream into a short story, which is becoming not so short now. This stuff is dangerous. I can't stop. I'm working on part ten now.

The worst part is that I wish it would happen. Don't get me wrong, my life isn't so bad, it has it's ups and downs. However, in the book I describe "when I was young, like alot of people, I mused that everybody else was a figment of my imagination, and the thought  is horrifying to me now".

Yup dreams are dangerous, because the horrifying reality is, it was just a dream.

Hummmmm. I never consider any of my dreams as "just a dream" I think they consist of more valuble information than that. Nor do I think them dangerous although they may be really frustrating or seemingly dangerous at the time I am dreaming. Is that what you mean when you wake up out of a "nightmare" and think to yourself; "thank goodness it was just a dream"?

I have always thought as dreams having meaning and carry an underlying message.  Has anyone had any dream interpetations done?  This is a very interesting process and can be very enlightening.

20 years ago I had a dream which involved two things.... one was missiles falling and the other was the face of a women ...... which resulted in love at first sight (with the woman not the missiles). It is the only dream I really have a clear recollection of.......  I hope nether part of the dream ever occur as the missiles would really cause me a problem............... and the woman could really upset my life with igraine  lol  ... perhaps someone deeper and more spiritual would have spent their life looking for the woman......... but I just ................didn't.
............and igraine is deeper than love at first site  :)

Thank you very much, Master Iron Bear.  The feeling is very
mutual.  I have a good friend from college who relocated to
New Zealand to marry her wife.  So that is yet another good
reason to fly over to your part of the globe.

I have another 6 months to finish up with college and then
back into the work force.  Once I am back working full time,
budgeting for trips during vacation times should be workable.

Bright Blessings to You and Lady Neets,

Yes, the big paws and the tails of doom!  lol  Funny how they know a good
sucker...I mean "owner" when they meet one.  How much of it is the energy
we give off and how much of it is the fact that well already have fur attached
to our clothing and smell like other critters?  Who can say...

Vendaval this made me smile because I can relate 100%. As we live in the country and it gets pitch dark some nights we do what we call "the puppy shuffle" in the middle of the night. Walking slowly, feeling for big furries laying in the way. I think its funny how we coddle and spoil them, I would feel terrible if I stepped on a paw on the way to the bathroom.

Many dreams we all can say what the f**k was that about! When I don't have nightmares I tend to have those. One dream I had I was taking care of these set of horses, went into this feild one of the horses are at and a wild dog jumped over the fence and looked at me.
Scary part was... the next day I went to take care of the horses and a fox jumped over the stone wall looked at me with one of those 'long slow' looks. Then scampered away. Talk about what the f**k and freaky!!

I've almost always had very bizarre dreams.  Like circus/freak show weird.  The ones that always disturb me most are the ones where my son is dying.  Those started right after he was born and still visit me from time to time.  Then there are my flying and falling dreams.  Thankfully I haven't had any of those in a while.  I'm terrified of heights!  I especially hate the ones where I find myself hanging off the edge of a skyscraper or huge cliff holding on by just my fingertips, KNOWING I'm going to fall.  Then there are my recurring dreams.  They're always extremely bizarre, so bizarre I wouldn't even begin to know how to explain them.  And they come maybe once every year or so.  And I always recognize them while still in the dream.... yeah, I remember this one.  Then the ones that seem to be real... usually I'm meeting someone in those.  I swear I met Prince in my dreams on several occasions.  *ROFL*  And then the creepy/scary/otherworldly dreams where something unseen is pulling me by my feet while I hover in a prone position.  I'm usually being pulled through a house that I don't recognize and I try to look around behind me to see who's pulling but I can never see... yet I know that it's an entity that I wouldn't be able to see anyway.  I had that one several times in one night once.  Each time I woke up, then went back to sleep but was less and less asleep each time.  And each time I tried to lift my head and look toward my feet, but couldn't.  It freaked me OUT.

Dreams are strange things and I believe they are your deeper, subconscious self trying to reach you about things that are important... maybe things you need to address.  And they're rarely what they seem on the surface.  Like dreams about killing or dying are usually about an aspect of yourself dying or ending.  But I also believe that there are places between this world and the dream world where you can visit and learn and experience things.  But that's just a theory of mine.  *giggle*

I had a dream on Christmas morning about my unmentionable...he lives with his dad and his dad refuses to let me see or talk to him....  Anyway...I dreamt that we were sitting on the floor by the tree and we were opening gifts.  He turned around and threw his arms around my neck and said "I love you mommy and I miss you so much" and gave me a big kiss.  We started crying and holding each other, then I woke up.  It was so real that when I woke up I could still smell him.  I started crying and called my mom to talk about it.  It really affected me.

I remember one time I had a dream (a nightmare, really) that I went into a business partnership with someone.  I found out that they had embezzled all the business funds and left Me on the verge of bankruptcy.  This dream occurred right before I woke up.  It was so realistic, I woke up in a panic, grabbed the yellow pages, and started looking under "loans."  Within a few minutes, I completely woke up and realized I didn't have this problem after all.  What a relief!

Another time, I had a dream that there was a problem with a major account I was working on several years back.  In the dream, I was sitting in the client's office and he was telling Me that we could not go forward because the software was not meeting his needs.  I took it as an omen and went over and over the paperwork, trying to find out if there was a problem.  I could not find anything.  Nonetheless, a short time later, I was in the client's office having that very conversation.  Fortunately, there was a happy ending.  We found a way to modify the standard software so that it did meet his company's needs, and all was well.

I just had a dream...definitely wtf variety...but then, mine mostly are...

I dreamed my children and I were at a lagoon.  Oddly, where the beach should be, was a concrete porch with steps leading down into the water.  There was also a blue metal railing all around the porch and down the steps.  The water was very clear and we were swimming.  Suddenly, there was a young lady swimming with us...and she said, "I never swim past the edge here, so the sharks can't see me."  Well, that made me decide to swim for shore!  We all got out but the girl, and I told her from the porch, "Sharks come into the shallows at night."  Just about that time a huge "witch" shark (don't ask me, I just dream this stuff) burst from the water.  The young girl just managed to get herself over the rail.  The shark hit the rail and damaged itself.  The tide, in the meantime, had gone out, and the shark landed on what was now beach.  I noticed a book lying near her tail, which was wide and rounded, not the usual shark fin.  I let myself down onto the beach and approached her slowly.  I picked up the book, which was written about the life of a woman in a poly family, three other women, and their man.  I patted her tail softly and asked if I could read her book.  Suddenly, she was a human woman, and she said, "Of course." and walked back up onto the porch with me, leaving the body of the witch shark on the beach.  We went inside the building the porch was attached to, which turned out to be a store of some kind.  We sat down in what appeared to be a lounge.  I opened a large bag that was sitting near my chair and said, "Look, I just bought these books written by your husband."  We started discussing them and she was telling me funny stories about them when Thing Two came over.  I handed him a dollar and told him to go get some quarters.  He disappeared and came back complaining about the restrooms.  We went into the restrooms and found that people had not flushed (which drives him insane r/t), so we flushed the toilets and were happy when they didn't get backed up.

Then I woke up.  And I wonder why I'm tired; I spend all night dreaming sh*t like this!

I love dream interpretation :)

I find my dreams are play on words.  I even have an example of one I had a few nights ago.

I dreamed I was in a new office.. all that was there was the desk- nothing else.  And get this,, my BOSS was David HASSELHOFF!  Anyhow, he was an archetect as he was leaving to visit a client, he told me to go ahead and take care of of things and left.  Take care of WHAT??? I had nothing there..no files, no phone.. nada.

Turns out it was a precognitive dream:

I have a freind in real estate that wants me to work for her. (represented by the Architect element) But over the past year she has had health problems and  other things that  keeps interrupting her. (I started and had to stop. She changes things in the interum.  I have no clue where to start)  She called me that morning.  She wanted to know if I am ready to go back to work and how I was feeling?  I told her I feel fine.  She then goes into "You should see my new neurologist. I don't think you are doing everything you can .. "  I asked her what exactly does she have that I CAN'T do?  She just went on  saying I should do this and that.  I've had the disease for 15 yrs diagnosed.. I try everything on the market..   Anyhow you get the picture.  Damn, if I didn't know better I think she was trying to Domme me!  Work might be one thing.. but my private life is my own.

Looking back I could interpret the dream.. Bare office.. unclear instructions and expectations.  The boss.  Hmmm .. I have no feelings one way or the other on the actor.  Then it hit me.. HASSEL- hoff!  I was being warned of this situation.

She is a good freind.. but what makes her a wonderful and sucessful business woman.. is what stresses her interpersonal relationships. But I'll be the friend I am.. and I WILL tell her she is in unecessary territory with me in this regard.  No more HASSEL! Get OFF it!  I think my uh-huh.ya.. ok sure.. followed by silence slowed her down a bit :)
