I’ve been contemplating some shit lately in my old age…and I think I’ve finally figured out some of this shit. I’m not sure this is true for the wimmens….maybe it is, but I know it’s true for us men.

Somewhere around 12 or 13, until about 25 – 27, men think they know everything (I actually did, but that’s beside the point). Around 35, we start to think “there’s a LOT of shit I don’t know!

Sometime around 45 or thereabouts, we start thinking “FUCK!!!!! I hope they don’t find out I don’t know shit!!!”…and now, in my 50’s I’m thinking…..

Man I got away with a LOT of shit!!!!

Something tells me the next phase is….”look at that old fucker…he don’t know shit”.

No no no.
The next phase is "look at that old fucker! He really knows his shit!"

No no no.
The next phase is "look at that old fucker! He really knows his shit!"

More likely "Look at that old fucker, he's full of shit"

But there's pills for that.

from my viewpoint, the computer and internet has made keeping up with all the new shit really, really hard.. 20 years ago everyone got their info on shit from books, mags & newspapers, now you do a search and get tens or hundreds of thousands of hits on shit!.. all kinds of shit!.. so maybe that's why you are feeling the way you are.. but the important thing is what you do with all that shite.. and that's where old fuckers have it over young fuckers.. right???

Turns out, no.

My favorite grammar lesson:
You know your shit!
You know you're shit!
I respect the apostrophe.

My favorite has always been the importance of capitalization:

Knowing the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse".
