And that's just the ones who are in the Senate.

There are very few actual conservatives who are in either branch of Congress.

What is a No True Scotsman fallacy, Alex.

No, not really. An actual conservative wants conservation of the republic. They would be more likely to be members of the Constitution Party. How many Constitutionalists are in Congress?

I don't consider the Republican party to be "conservative". Are they more conservative than the Democratic party? Yes, but that isn't all that hard to do.

The Constitution Party? Did you really just claim a bunch of theocrats want to conserve the Republic?

Admit it you had no idea who they were beyond the name right?

The 2004 Constitution Party candidate for President was Michael Peroutke.
http://blogs.citypaper.com/index.php/2012/12/human-rights-campaign-links-michael-peroutka-to-white-supremacists/
The guy also was the major donor to Roy Moore's most recent campaign for the Alabama Supreme Court (the guy who as a sitting state supreme court justice defied a series of federal court orders)

The 2008 candidate was Chuck Baldwin an open neoconfederate and dominionist.

The 2012 candidates was Virgil Goode. His other major claim to fame is stirring up hatred against Keith Ellison over using a holy text for his swearing in.

The party platform is a dominionist document that stops just short of actually calling for the stoning of homosexuals.

If these scum ever get elected to the Presidency it will be the last election this Republic ever has.

A significant chunk of Louisiana Republicans evidently believe that President Barack Obama is to blame for the poor response to the hurricane that ravaged their state more than three years before he took office.

Given that New Orleans' recovery has been under Obama's watch for the past four-plus years, it doesn't seem unreasonable that people who fault aspects of the administration's effort as inadequate or misguided would lay some of the ongoing problems at his feet.

Got anything more recent than 3 years ago? Or did you think no one would notice the byline?

yes the link/article is 3 years old, in that article there is a link "additional issues" and while it does not state when that site was last updated, the part about INTENDING to keep the promise of helping new orleans is still listed, so it apears Obama doesn't feel that its a PROMISE KEPT!

http://www.whitehouse.gov/issues/additional-issues

Katrina
President Obama will keep the broken promises to rebuild New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. He and Vice President Biden will take steps to ensure that the federal government will never again allow such catastrophic failures in emergency planning and response to occur. Within weeks of his inauguration, he made a renewed commitment to partner with the people of the Gulf Coast to rebuild now, stronger than ever.

making it a somewhat valid piont!

Do you really think the rebuilding would be finished in 3 years? It will be probably a decade even with massive outside investment.

I never made any predictions about when or IF they would ever be done, you pointed to the age of the article, I pointed out the statment by OBAMA regarding it was still on the whitehouse website, making the time referance less part of the issue.
now you say, well heck, it might be still more years before the recovery is complete, rendering your TIME referance COMPLETELY null and void!

so which is it, is the article worthless because its three years old, or does obama get a free pass even if it still takes ANOTHER 3 years?

as the other poster mentioned, SOME people may feel some way about OBAMA not getting it done and it IS a valid point!

the point is 8 years ago, 5 years ago, 3 years ago, 1 year ago or last week, obama has had the ball for 5ish years and SOME people might have an OPINION on that fact!

bush had three years to respond, obama has had 5 years to respond and SOME people seem to STILL be waiting for a response!

The claim was

With support from an article published 3 years ago.

Now the question is has Obama done enough which considering the asinine idiots certain people on the right have supported in Congress the answer is yes. Rebuilding is going on and most of the Bush era crap is gone.

The point of the op was that dumbass low information Republicans ion Louisiana responded Obama to this question "Who do you think was more responsible for the poor response to Hurricane Katrina: George W. Bush or Barack Obama." There is no way to torture the English language to make that response correct. Bush responded, incredibly mind bogglingly badly, to Hurricane Katrina. Obama is responding to the aftermath of Katrina.

An actual conservative wants conservation of the republic.

I think the terms "liberal" and "conservative" have become almost meaningless. In recent decades "conservatives" have focused a lot of energy on dismantling, or trying to, the architecture of our social welfare system. And "liberals" have have been battling to, well, conserve it.
