I think that a picture is one of a few distinguishing factors for which you have control on your profile.

If your shirtless photo of you with your hand jammed down your jeans is somehow positively different than others so that it is attracting the types of partners you seek - then congratulations, you're doing something right.

Otherwise, no. If it looks like every other shirtless and headless picture on here, then there really isn't a fine line at all.

If he has a better physique than me, then his shirtless photo is classless and tacky. But if he's a fat slob (and makes me look good by comparison), then his shirtless photo is tasteful and is to be celebrated.

BTW, that guy Peon is the tackiest of them all.

Only find it tacky on dating sites. Think it's fine on here. Worse avatars here then shirtless men believe me!

HUGE GRIN , pause, HUGE GRIN...
but I've seen some awful ones in the past.
I think what isn't being mentioned is the way it's presented.
Is it in your face immediately or is it over time after is been sought after? It's all about the right time and place.

Honestly, I bought it from my Brother and Sister in Law .... they had named it Live Wire II ... they are electrical contractors ... so it worked really well for them.


But it is bad luck to re-name a boat ... plus I didn't want to paint over the name and have it painted again to the one I always use ... KC

So it is "Live Wire II"

Even if it really doesn't fit me right ....

Hoping it works better than naked torso's though!

Status: offline 		I am torn when it comes to shirtless photos. On one hand it lacks a certain humility that I look for in subs and on the other a naked body is always a pleasure to look at. I think its about timing. When i see a profile photo of a man with a shirt off I get a sense he isn't serious. Or too vain to be sub. Those boys generally have to work a little harder to convince me than the others, however when they are before me, they all must be stripped down.

Personally, I think shirtless is just tacky.

It tells me you think more of the body you're showing off than the person inside.
And let's face it - the person/personality inside is far more important than the wrappings.
If you only want the wrappings, it makes you a shallow person.

I don't say people shouldn't have them.... just not as the main photo.
Same as those women who just have pussy shots.
The emphasis, to me, is all wrong.

I tend to not think about them actually. But to be honest, your's definitely doesn't appeal to me.

Status: offline 		I have a couple of shirtless pics. With the sheer amount of men on these sites I think it helps to try and distinguish yourself in anyway you can and if you happen to have assets that might interest a woman then why not put them on show.

I mean isn't that what women do everyday? \Why should it be any different for men?
