Status: offline 		Some men do not want to take a look at themselves. They often view (not always) their behavior from the point of view of others. Someone else is the problem. Or not at all. By the time they start looking at self they either are on the brink of losing everything or they already have.

Well, actually...yes. Altruism should have a limit. Each person is responsible for their own well being first. The idea that it's our responsibility as human beings to protect everyone weaker than us is rather foolish, barring certain exceptions.

Status: offline 		My smart-aleckiness aside, I certainly didn't intend for anyone to arbitrarily take vows of poverty and celibacy *HELL NO*, shave his/her head, run off to join a monastery or convent, and leave family behind forsaking all worldly goods. I did specify 'one person at a time,' which is doable, especially within one's own family for starters. One can hardly 'protect everyone.'

Granted, there should be limits to the extent that one is a do-gooder, which can turn into an ego-driven personality complex. However, Love is Limitless and meant to be shared, not squandered. Particularly unselfish altruistic love - which some equate with charity/charitableness - a foreign concept to many, unfortunately.

except that such things fly out the window completely when it comes to Oprah and Ellen TV show 'rah rah' crap. When a woman has used a man as a beard, and cheats for a year or more without admitting anything, it's applauded as 'finding herself' and 'empowering herself'. When a man does the same, it's "a bastard being on the down-lo and cheating on an honest, good woman'. All politically correct claptrap supported by nothing more than double standards are far more of a personal dislike buttressed by a mental issue.

and having to weed out one from the other is a men's issue.

Status: offline 		Men who don't want children are told not to have sex with women if they don't want kids, or at least get a vasectomy and annihilate their future chances of fatherhood with the right person if they should want that later, and their consent to sex without sterilization is legally considered consent to fatherhood (or, at least, to 18+ years of paying child support, with no guarantee that they'll be allowed to see their children). Tell women not to have sex with men if they don't want kids, or else get their tubes tied first, and someone will bite your head off.
