ORIGINAL: Phydeaux I do believe in christian charity to help others - but you cannot enforce a christian responsibility as a perview of gvt. As christ said - render to ceasar what is ceasar's. He also said the poor will be always with you. Jesus fed the poor and healed the sick. I don't know which part of the bible this is in, but I remember reading something about Jesus telling a rich man he needed to give to the poor and when he refused, Jesus saying rich greedy people will have a difficult time making it into heaven. How would Jesus feel about people deliberately fighting to prevent the poor from being healed? Having to live up to a lofty standard is difficult if not impossible. Personally, I feel that one must at least try and this is what I see the Democratic party is doing. Put simply they are doing. They have worked and continue to work to fix the problem. Now their solution may be offensive to Republicans, but at least they are out there doing something about it. They are not like former President Bush who like Nero played the fiddled while Rome burned. The financial bubble formed, grew, and burst on his watch. So after eight years it was all his predecessors fault? Perhaps the seeds were sown earlier, but it isn't like Bush was a one term President. He had time to make his contribution. Now they hope to deny Obama His contribution as if Obama could blunder as badly as Bush. The economy is something Obama inherited and it is only right he should receive credit for at least not sinking the ship. It is after all still afloat. Three cheers for the Captain! Both the Democratic party and Obama clearly have it right. Healthcare is an important issue. The Republicans haven't yet figured out that when the bubble burst so also went their intimacy. At the time I was perplexed why they let it happen. How could they have managed to drive the economy into the ground when it was obvious over a period of YEARS that our economy was mismanaged. Spoken sarcastically, you have got to love Allen Greenspan. Yes, Mr. Greenspan, you were philosophically opposed. I can see that now. You are just like the rest of them, obsessive compulsive and unable to see reason. I got that lecture today about philosophy and how blood tests don't fit the equation, shove this into your equation. The Republicans are so obsessed with their ideology they were willing to drive our economy into the ground and now they have expressed interest to drive our government into the ground. Invariably, after driving our government into the ground, they will blame the Democrats for it. This is the work of God? God is opposed to the Democrats? Perhaps God takes has some issues with the Democrats, but you have got to realize something. In His book, you are all Sinners. There isn't a righteous one among you and not one of you who isn't in desperate need of Salvation. It is the pot calling the kettle black. If you claim that Obama is the anti-Christ, are you claiming that you are better than the anti-Christ? Should God stand in awe of your brilliance? I thought to do some fact checking. quote:
Alan Greenspan is a Republican. He worked in the Ford Administration on the Council of Economic Advisors before being appointed by Ronald Reagan to be Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve. Andrea Mitchell has never publicly revealed her party affiliation, although I would imagine that many people would assume that she is a Democrat just because she is a journalist and doesn't work at Fox News. As for their age difference, Greenspan is 20 years older. He was born in 1926. She was born in 1946. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110527100314AAFM0ai It was her fault. She is a journalist and he is at her mercy. She was the one who broke his imperial conditioning.
