quote:
ORIGINAL: fucktoyprincess In other words, for example, a liberal white Catholic who would prefer to marry a white Catholic, even though there are Catholics of every ethnicity and racial background. What about a liberal, white, Italian American Catholic who prefers to marry another liberal, white, Italian American Catholic over a liberal, white Irish American Catholic. Is looking for the highest amount of compatibility in your interpersonal relationships smart or is it being bigoted? For that matter, what about women who won't have sex with men shorter than them? Is that prejudice? Should we not all give those guys pity fucks to prove we aren't bigoted? And shouldn't guys have to all do the Shallow Hal thing and date women they're not attracted to? Or are we defining bigotry as not hiring someone, not renting housing to them, not extending them equal rights under the law? By that standard, I'm not a bigot. If you judge me by not being turned on to short guys, I am. Shall we define racism first? And why is it only race when prejudice extends a lot further. As otherwise the 1964 Civil Rights Act wouldn't offer coverage to people of other religions, ethnicity, age, and sex.
