I am certain I am not alone on this fantasy but I am not even close to certain how many others have fantasies about being mistreated in a "mental" way. I am guessing more men than women would like to be on the receiving/submissive end of this (my guess anyway).

More specifically if anyone has seen the occasional movie or heard of real stories where a woman plots to have her mate appear insane and have him committed. One movie that does a good job of depicting this was made appx. 1964 called Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte, in which a young cousin and family doctor do a good job driving an older lady into a mental institution and would have succeeded but they celebrating one day too soon and the old lady killed them both.

I loved the elaborate and cruel plan as it unfolded and the disdainful attitude they had when the dealt with the lady. They utilized injections, they put tape reccorders in the wall spaces and played music and created voices at odd hours and used props to actually drive the lady into a quivering dribbling lunatic at the end.

I would not want to know that this happened in real life but I do like this type of fantasy role play. Any others feel simular attraction to this? I would love to know. Anyone wanting to share thoughts, I am here

When I was still married my then husband convinced me I was mentally ill and I almost killed myself.

He wasn't playing.

And yes, it was cruel.

The definitive film on this is Gaslight with Charles
Boyer and Ingrid Bergman. When people talk about
gaslighting someone it's from this film and the play
it was based on that the expression/ word was coined.

It means attempting to make someone think they are
mad or going mad. You could incorporate the sensations
in a controlled and short term mind fuck with everyone
onboard with what was going on. I also think there are
some people to vulnerable for it to be even done in the
short term.

thanks for the responses. Yes I remember Gaslight but it was less interesting since a male figure was being cruel, it would have been better if the wife was the cruel one or at least the husband had a female accomplice.

Mental cruelty can only lead to the eventual mental breakdown. Even if one likes it. Almost sounds cultish. I wouldn't recommend it.

The name Charlotte, is a beautiful name.

Such as in Charlottes web, she was a spider, and she had a good excuse for weaving a tangled web.

This sounds like it has the potential to be very dangerous, I am not condemning your kink in any way when I say that.

There is a distinct difference between mental bondage and mental cruelty. Are you certain that you could completely trust someone to do this to you and not drive you over the edge? I mean, think about it, someone making you question your own sanity and perception of reality even if it is for a short time and for "fantasy" just sounds like it has all the ingredients necessary for disaster. And how would someone go about bringing you back from that experience?

Thinking about this on a fantasy level is one thing, having someone do it and possibly succeed in destabilizing you mentally is another.
