A sniper started shooting at the police. Most of the people there didn't like the police at all, they were there to (peacefully it seems ) attack the police, they were not the people anyone to expect to jump in and help the police. Those who were not anti- cop weren't there. When someone gets in a shootout with the police you don't get in the middle unless the cop looses. There was no account that CCW holders ran away, the pro police ones weren't there and the only anticop one was waving a rifle around till the shooting started and surrenered immeadiatly.

Other wise it is pure conjecture. Anti gun people try to beleive that there are always CCW holders present (even in no gun zones) and make up reasons for why they aren't seen.

I know it's tough tearing yourself away from binge watching Brokeback MTN and your cowboy fantasies but come back to reality for a second. The incident you use as example was a "sniper" situation. You do realize that usually means he's armed with a "long gun." That means superior fire power (distance, range and probable caliber) to most level headed people. Even the police didn't go in that parking garage because of the danger. They sent in their best option. As for "going to Texas" I lived there for over twelve years as an adult. I have a significant amount of family still there from the DFW to the Valley (South Texas) who I visit regularly and I know the carry laws. You still have to be licensed to carry open or concealed. Jesus, where I live in Virginia is open carry. It's legal in many places but not everyone carries a gun you twit. I know you're probably high on methane from your felchgobblin felchgoblin but back away from the anus, get some fresh air, take a deep breath and think.
