Did FOX News fully, completely, and without question, without inserting any political viewpoint or agenda.....EXPLAIN....the Affordable Care Act to its viewers over the last three years? From cover to cover?

No?

If you have been watching FOX News and listening to conservative talk radio hosts about this bill, you would have a large amount of useless information. Has FOX News explained the exchanges to its viewers? Explain how they work, how the laws effects citizens and advice on how to navigate the law? Have they tried to show what to watch out for in scammers that will take advantage of unsuspecting citizens trying to follow in good faith with the law? How does one determine if they could get a decent plan at a reduce cost?

The ACA is not forcing employers to withhold hiring or limit hours of existing employees; that's employers using the ACA as an excuse not to be a good citizen. Further, its employers that have not gotten good information to make informed business decisions. Employers would do well not incur the wrath of their employees; as these are the people that make the company money. Happy and healthy employees generally make a company MORE money. A good business person is one that takes responsibility for those that work for them. But then, good business person doesn't get their information from FOX News....

Has FOX News explained....WHY....the Republicans/Tea Party want the ACA defunded? The law works whether its funded or not. You know, that's something FOX News fails to mention quite frequently. They want you to believe that if its defunded, the ACA goes away. No, the defunding part simply hurts YOU the citizen in the long run. If your required by the law to pick up a plan in your local exchange area, the funding of the bill LOWERS your monthly bill depending on a number of factors. So if the Republicans defeat the ACA, you'll get to pay MORE. Does FOX News mention that? That would have a direct impact on your monthly budget, wouldn't it?

You want to pay more for health care? Support your local Republican/Tea Party member in Congress. Has FOX News pointed that out as well, when talking about the ACA? No? Why not?

Defunding Obamacare is the first step in getting it repealed. Do you have citations showing that the employers citing Obamacare as the reason for their hiring/firing decisions are only scapegoating Obamacare?

mnottertail -> RE: Cavuto has a good monologue on Obamacare (9/30/2013 6:36:16 AM)

The first step in getting it repealed would be to repeal it. Since that aint gonna happen, perhaps if one were to fix any of its problem areas in the law................

I disagree. Presenting the American public with a workable, superior alternative is the best way to get it repealed.
What have they come up with that is a better idea?

Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?

There was a bill that was being brought forward. Not sure if it ever made it to committee, out of committee, etc. I linked to it and it was widely decried by the usual suspects.

Obamacare was run through for exactly the reason MN gloats about: "Since that [repeal] aint gonna happen, perhaps if one were to fix any of its problem areas in the law................ "

The whole idea of getting it passed and in place was because it would be so much more of a bitch to get back out once it was in place. And, it was heavily front loaded with sops to get people hooked on it's good parts before the bad parts took place. It was strategically written and executed. That ["strategery"] is one of Obama's greatest talents, and he is damn good at it.

mnottertail -> RE: Cavuto has a good monologue on Obamacare (9/30/2013 7:37:49 AM)

Sort of like an ignorant cutting across the board called a sequester while raising defense appropriations 20%? Or?

Or..?

What did that have to do with the bill that was about health care reform?

Oh, yeah. Not a fucking thing. And, who was it that posted an article about the House passing a bill that kept everything at sequester levels except defense and pointed that the only cuts that would happen to that bill would be in defense spending? Oh, yeah. That was me.

Neat shit, eh?

mnottertail -> RE: Cavuto has a good monologue on Obamacare (9/30/2013 7:50:17 AM)

Who was it that pointed out that teabaggers are neither fiscally conservative, apt lawmakers, patriots trying to improve our country or possess actual workable ideas?

Oh, yeah, that was me. Thats why the Senate shut down that dogshit as well as their other dogshit bills.

The Republicans have the majority in the house and they couldn't get a bill out of committee?

They're GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOd[8|]

Yep, the GOP isn't exactly conservative, sadly. That's one of the reasons I'm not a Republican. Neat, eh? They talk the talk but have a hard time walking the walk. Democrats tend to talk the talk and walk the same walk, but that's not conservative, either.

mnottertail -> RE: Cavuto has a good monologue on Obamacare (9/30/2013 8:35:58 AM)

Yeah, like Cavuto and others Opinions, they are teabaggers so who gives a fuck, we know they dont have brains enough to pour piss out of a boot, or it appears get their own bills out of their own committees.

It was introduced and sent to committee on 18 Sep 2013. Shit takes time.

tons of blather...

Um, I don't mind the blather in general - but the facts are pretty clear that, on average Obamacare raises the cost of healthcare.

mnottertail -> RE: Cavuto has a good monologue on Obamacare (9/30/2013 9:15:05 AM)

I laugh at the blather, since there are no such facts, and they are not clear, they are not credibly cited, and they are not extant.

Yachtie -> RE: Cavuto has a good monologue on Obamacare (9/30/2013 9:38:44 AM)

FR -

The Obama administration's touting of Obamacare, the ACA, is reaching new plateaus.

Of course the link is bullshit because it's The Weekly Standard.

(hope you like my preemptive shooting of the messenger [sm=rofl.gif] )

mnottertail -> RE: Cavuto has a good monologue on Obamacare (9/30/2013 9:45:57 AM)

What does it mean? What do the teabaggers say about their ineptitude and their uselesness? Where is that in the Weekly Standard?

Junk is fucking junk. If you have no credible citations, you have no credible citations.

Here is general information from July, US Chamber of commerce stating similar findings. Im not sure how people can say its just a coincidence. Q2 Report

mnottertail -> RE: Cavuto has a good monologue on Obamacare (9/30/2013 11:44:01 AM)

Yeah, we need to see what insurance agents think about whether or not you have enough insurance, because that would be as accurate as those fucking stooges at the Chamber of Commerce.
