Go to Fetlife.com (it's a free site) and do a search for your city/area. It will list all of the local BDSM organizations, as well as upcoming events.

Did you enter in your zip code in your profile?
Once you do that it will give you the distance that other users are from you.

To the OP - go to a local munch (find it on Fetlife) and meet people. Even if you don't find the person you're looking for, you'll learn a lot about the bdsm world and it will help you to make the correct choices if you choose to look online.
