I'm new, so, this may be a dumb question, but, I have never licked an anus before. Is there anything, other than standard washing, that is normally done before or after?

I prefer that the receiver has washed while showering immediately before (as opposed to a quick wash). I suppose one could use an antibacterial mouthwash afterwards; this just occurred to me after reading your question.

Good cleanliness really. Once really cleaned there is less bacteria in an anus then is in the mouth of the licker. And before anyone gets started, E-Coli first is a naturally occurring bacteria in humans and from what I've read...not the same as that from bad meat.

Just showering right beforehand. But I've never done it to anyone other than Master whom I've been in a committed relationship for 6 years. I wouldn't do it for just a casual fling or a play partner.

Listerine before & after. Before not so much if we've had cocktails (80 proof or higher). I've never had a bad experience licking an anus, knock on wood. But my partner has been freshly showered each time. I think as long as they use soap and water their anus will probably be cleaner than the keyboard you're currently typing on. I absolutely love listening to my partner's reactions as her anus is gently circled and penetrated by my tongue.

I had bad experiences with my second husband with this. He was a failure at using tp, apparently. I have had to say 'no', and make him go shower. Never had that problem with anyone else. if it's a new man in your life, or a quick play date, I recommend a dental dam or saran wrap. If you're fluid bonded, a shower together should suffice.

Taking precautions don't have to be a buzzkill, depending on how it's done. You can make a playful, unruined moment out of having a guy wear a condom. There are fast-dissolving breath strips where the oral servicer doesn't have to go rinse & spit out. If sobriety isn't an issue, keep a strong-enough drink on hand within arm's reach.
