If she is doing the Britney thing (bottom out and bounce back), the trope is getting old. And someone please tell her to stop with the tongue thing-it's getting stupider each time it's seen.

To be fair, though, I don't think she's trying to impress people of our ages (i.e. over twenty). She's trying to look cool to her erstwhile fans - kids in their early teens, I'd say.

I thought the same thing, but they were shot by Terry Richardson, who's a famous (if not infamous) photographer.

A friend of mine took her granddaughter to see Miley Cyrus in concert when MC was about 16. My friend said it was one of the most disgusting things she's ever seen. MC was gyrating and pelvis thrusting and simulating sex etc, while no less than 20 grown men at a time, from the audience, were up on stage with her trying to cop a feel or bump their genitals against her. My friend said it looked like an orgy (I'm thinking bukkake!) with one little girl trying to sing her way through it. *squick*
