Status: offline 		I do it in less steps, I have the google image extension in my chrome browser, I just click the picture and viola.

I am light years ahead technology wise.

Quality is just fine for me. But then, I don't search the personals side. I'm just here for the forums. Didn't take me long to find Master. Had to wade through a bunch of married cheaters, which are slightly harder to spot than the "fakes" that you are complaining about. I just hit the "hide" button and they never showed up again.

My system is different than yours.

1. I can spot 90% of the fake profiles at first glance and don't bother with them.
2. If I write to someone with a fake profile by mistake, and they respond, I'll figure out they're fake right away.
3. I accept that the Internet is an imperfect place, and if I go on free personal sites like this a certain percentage of people will be fakes and I don't let it bother me.
4. I go on with my life.

Can't say I necessarily agree with this part. What generates REVENUE is what is good for the site. Advertisers don't pay rates based on your personal preferences or happiness. They pay according to how many people they think they are reaching.

This one is just personal opinion, but this is another reason why I don't think this particular complaint will ever go anywhere. Have you ever taken the time to do the research to see just how many people join this site in a single day? The numbers would shock you. Also, there are a significant number of folks who stay even though they have been complaining about fake profiles for years. Dave there is famous for it. (Hiya, Dave. How have you been?) From the business angle, the advertisers are getting exposure, which is why they run the ads in the first place.

You're not paying for a service here. If you really want to get something changed, talk to those who advertise because THEY are the customers. They are the ones who pay. In the meantime, clearly the masses whom you claim are mega-tired are not talking with with their keyboard. Once the banner ads here fail to bring in $$ for the sponsors, then you might see CM motivated to spend money on changes.

And I don't buy that excuse. You can keep saying you covered it, but I think it is bullshit. All your post says is "I'm too lazy to put any work into this myself so I'll just complain to a bunch of people who have no say in how the site is run". How's that working for you, cupcake?

If the advertisers get wind of this they'll pull their ads, and possibly sue collarme.com for what (if they're smart) is a breech of contract (fraud). It's entirely possible that the contract, if they're savvy enough to have one dictates that collarme.com must take reasonable steps to reduce fake profiles. They are not. They are taking almost no steps, and as a side benefit gaining inflated (read: fraudulent) member numbers.


edit: This form of neglect that most of you seem to feel is benign is what led to the bankruptcy of one of the oldest and biggest (read: used fraudulently-inflated member counts to lure people to sign up and pay) adult social networking sites in the history of the Internet.
